  1. فَلَمَّاپھر جب
  2. اسْتَیْـَٔسُوْاوہ مایوس ہوگئے
  3. مِنْهُاس سے
  4. خَلَصُوْااکیلے بیٹھے
  5. نَجِیًّا ؕسرگوشیاں کرنے کو/ مشورہ کرنے کو
  6. قَالَکہا
  7. كَبِیْرُهُمْان کے بڑے نے
  8. اَلَمْکیانہیں
  9. تَعْلَمُوْۤاتم جانتے ہو
  10. اَنَّکہ
  11. اَبَاكُمْتمہارے والد نے
  12. قَدْتحقیق
  13. اَخَذَلیا
  14. عَلَیْكُمْتم پر
  15. مَّوْثِقًاپکا وعدہ
  16. مِّنَنام سے
  17. اللّٰهِاللہ کے
  18. وَمِنْاور اس سے
  19. قَبْلُپہلے
  20. مَاجو
  21. فَرَّطْتُّمْکوتاہی کی تم نے
  22. فِیْمیں
  23. یُوْسُفَ ۚیوسف کے معاملے
  24. فَلَنْتو ہرگز نہ
  25. اَبْرَحَمیں ٹلوں گا
  26. الْاَرْضَاس زمین سے
  27. حَتّٰییہاں تک کہ
  28. یَاْذَنَاجازت دے
  29. لِیْۤمجھ کو
  30. اَبِیْۤمیرا باپ
  31. اَوْیا
  32. یَحْكُمَفیصلہ کردے
  33. اللّٰهُاللہ
  34. لِیْ ۚمیرے لئے
  35. وَهُوَاور وہ
  36. خَیْرُبہترین
  37. الْحٰكِمِیْنَفیصلہ کرنے والا ہے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

جب وہ یوسفؑ سے مایوس ہو گئے تو ایک گوشے میں جا کر آپس میں مشورہ کرنے لگے ان میں جو سب سے بڑا تھا وہ بولا "تم جانتے نہیں ہو کہ تمہارے والد تم سے خدا کے نام پر کیا عہد و پیمان لے چکے ہیں اور اس سے پہلے یوسفؑ کے معاملہ میں جو زیادتی تم کر چکے ہو وہ بھی تم کو معلوم ہے اب میں تو یہاں سے ہرگز نہ جاؤں گا جب تک کہ میرے والد مجھے اجازت نہ دیں، یا پھر اللہ ہی میرے حق میں کوئی فیصلہ فرما دے کہ وہ سب سے بہتر فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے

Bayan-ul-Quran

پھر جب وہ یو سف سے مایوس ہوگئے تو علیحدگی میں جا کر مشورہ کرنے لگے ان کے بڑے نے کہا : کیا تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ تمہارے والد نے تم سے اللہ کے نام پر پختہ عہد لیا ہوا ہے اور (کیا تم نہیں جانتے) جو زیادتی اس سے پہلے تم یوسف کے معاملے میں کرچکے ہو اب میں تو اس سر زمین سے نہیں ہلوں گا یہاں تک کہ میرے والد خود مجھے اجازت دے دیں یا پھر اللہ ہی میرے بارے میں کوئی فیصلہ کردے اور یقیناً وہ بہترین فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے

Commentary

قَالَ كَبِيْرُهُمْ اَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اَبَاكُمْ قَدْ اَخَذَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَّوْثِقًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ان کے سب سے بڑے بھائی کا نام یہودا تھا یہ وہی تھے جنہوں نے مشورہ دے کر حضرت یوسف کی جان بچائی تھی کہ اگر تم اس کی جان کے درپے ہوگئے ہو تو اسے قتل مت کرو بلکہ کسی دور دراز علاقے میں پھینک آؤ۔ فَلَنْ اَبْرَحَ الْاَرْضَ حَتّٰى يَاْذَنَ لِيْٓ اَبِيْٓتم لوگ جا کر والد صاحب کو سارا واقعہ بتاؤ پھر اگر وہ مطمئن ہو کر مجھے اجازت دے دیں تو تب میں واپس جاؤں گا ورنہ میں ادھر ہی رہوں گا۔
