انہوں نے جواب دیا”اے ہُودؑ ، تُو ہمارے پاس کوئی صریح شہادت لے کر نہیں آیا ہے1، اور تیرے کہنے سے ہم اپنے معبودوں کو نہیں چھوڑ سکتے ، اور تُجھ پر ہم ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں

آیت 53 قَالُوْا يٰهُوْدُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ یعنی آپ جو دعویٰ کرتے ہیں کہ آپ اللہ کے رسول ہیں تو اس کے ثبوت کے طور پر آپ کے پاس کوئی کھلی نشانی سند یا معجزہ نہیں ہے۔
