  1. اِنْنہیں
  2. نَّقُوْلُہم کہتے
  3. اِلَّامگر
  4. اعْتَرٰىكَیہ کہ سامنے لائے ہیں تیرے۔ معاملہ کیا ہے تیرے ساتھ
  5. بَعْضُبعض
  6. اٰلِهَتِنَاہمارے معبودوں نے
  7. بِسُوْٓءٍ ؕبرائی کا
  8. قَالَاس نے کہا
  9. اِنِّیْۤبیشک میں
  10. اُشْهِدُگواہ بناتا ہوں
  11. اللّٰهَاللہ کو
  12. وَاشْهَدُوْۤااور تم گواہ رہو
  13. اَنِّیْبیشک میں
  14. بَرِیْٓءٌبری الذمہ ہوں
  15. مِّمَّااس سے جو
  16. تُشْرِكُوْنَتم شریک ٹھہراتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

ہم تو یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ تیرے اُوپر ہمارے معبودوں میں سے کسی کی مار پڑگئی ہے۔“1ہُود ؑ نے کہا”میں اللہ کی شہادت پیش کرتا ہوں۔2 اور تم گواہ رہو کہ یہ جو اللہ کے سوا دُوسروں کو تم نے خدائی میں شریک ٹھہرا رکھا ہے اس سے میں بیزار ہوں۔3

  1. یعنی تُو نے کسی دیوی یا دیوتا یا کسی حضرت کے آستانے پر کچھ گستاخی کی ہوگی، اسی کا خمیازہ ہے  جو تُو بھگت رہا ہے کہ بہکی بہکی  باتیں کرنے لگا ہے اور وہی بستیاں جن میں کل تُو عزت کے ساتھ رہتا تھا آج وہاں گالیوں اور پتھروں  سے تیری تواضع ہو رہی ہے۔

  2. یعنی تم کہتے ہو کہ میں کوئی شہادت لے کہ نہیں آیا، حالانکہ چھوٹی چھوٹی شہادتیں پیش کرنے کے بجائے میں تو سب سے بڑی شہادت  اس خدائی کی پیش کر رہا ہوں  جو اپنی ساری خدائی کے ساتھ کائنات ہستی کے ہر گوشے  اور ہر جلوے میں اس بات کی گواہی دے رہا ہے کہ جو حقیقتیں میں نے تم سے بیان کی ہیں وہ سراسر حق ہیں ، ان میں جھوٹ کا کوئی شائبہ تک نہیں اور جو تصورات تم نے قائم کر رکھے ہیں وہ بالکل افترا ہیں، سچائی ان میں ذرہ برابر بھی نہیں۔

  3. یہ  ان کی اس بات کا جواب ہے کہ تیرے کہنے سے ہم اپنے معبودوں کو چھوڑنے پر تیار نہیں ہیں۔ فرمایا میرا بھی  یہ فیصلہ سُن رکھو کہ تمہارے اِن معبودوں سے میں قطعی بیزار ہوں۔

ہم تو یہی کہتے ہیں کہ تم پر ہمارے معبودوں میں سے کسی کی مار پڑی ہے ہود ؑ نے کہا کہ میں اللہ کو گواہ ٹھہراتا ہوں اور تم بھی گواہ رہو کہ میں بری ہوں ان سے جنہیں تم شریک ٹھہرا رہے ہو اس کے سوا

آیت 54 اِنْ نَّقُوْلُ اِلَّا اعْتَرٰىكَ بَعْضُ اٰلِهَتِنَا بِسُوْۗءٍ یعنی ہمارا خیال تو یہی ہے کہ آپ جو ہمارے معبودوں کا انکار کرتے ہیں اور ان کی شان میں گستاخی کرتے رہتے ہیں اس کی وجہ سے آپ کو ان کی طرف سے سزا ملی ہے اور آپ کا دماغی توازن ٹھیک نہیں رہا۔ اسی لیے آپ بہکی بہکی باتیں کرنے لگے ہیں۔قَالَ اِنِّىْٓ اُشْهِدُ اللّٰهَ وَاشْهَدُوْٓا اَنِّىْ بَرِيْۗءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ میں تمہارے ان جھوٹے معبودوں اور تمہارے شرک کے اس جرم سے بالکل بری اور بیزار ہوں۔ یہ وہی بات ہے جو حضرت ابراہیم نے اپنی قوم سے فرمائی تھی۔
