  1. فَاِنْپھر اگر
  2. رَّجَعَكَلوٹا لایا تجھ کو
  3. اللّٰهُاللہ
  4. اِلٰیطرف
  5. طَآىِٕفَةٍایک گروہ کے
  6. مِّنْهُمْان میں سے
  7. فَاسْتَاْذَنُوْكَپھر انہوں نے اجازت مانگی آپ سے
  8. لِلْخُرُوْجِنکلنے کے لیے
  9. فَقُلْپس کہہ دیجیے
  10. لَّنْہرگز نہیں
  11. تَخْرُجُوْاتم نکلو گے
  12. مَعِیَمیرے ساتھ
  13. اَبَدًاکبھی بھی
  14. وَّلَنْاور ہرگز نہ
  15. تُقَاتِلُوْاتم جنگ کرو گے
  16. مَعِیَمیرے ساتھ
  17. عَدُوًّا ؕدشمن کے ساتھ
  18. اِنَّكُمْبیشک تم
  19. رَضِیْتُمْراضی ہوگئے تم
  20. بِالْقُعُوْدِبیٹھنے پر
  21. اَوَّلَپہلی
  22. مَرَّةٍبار
  23. فَاقْعُدُوْاپس بیٹھے رہو
  24. مَعَساتھ
  25. الْخٰلِفِیْنَپیچھے رہنے والوں کے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اگر اللہ ان کے درمیان تمہیں واپس لے جائے اور آئندہ ان میں سے کوئی گروہ جہاد کے لیے نکلنے کی تم سے اجازت مانگے تو صاف کہہ دینا کہ، "اب تم میرے ساتھ ہرگز نہیں چل سکتے اور نہ میری معیت میں کسی دشمن سے لڑ سکتے ہو، تم نے پہلے بیٹھ ر ہنے کو پسند کیا تھا تو اب گھر بیٹھنے والوں ہی کے ساتھ بیٹھے رہو"

پس (اے نبی ﷺ اگر اللہ آپ کو لوٹا کرلے جائے ان کے کسی گروہ کے پاس پھر وہ آپ ﷺ سے اجازت مانگیں (آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ) نکلنے کے لیے تو کہہ دیجئے گا کہ اب تم میرے ساتھ کبھی نہیں نکلو گے اور اب میرے ساتھ ہو کر تم کسی دشمن کے ساتھ جنگ نہیں کرو گے۔ تم پہلی مرتبہ راضی ہوگئے تھے بیٹھ رہنے پر تو (اب ہمیشہ کے لیے) بیٹھ رہو پیچھے رہنے والوں کے ساتھ

Commentary

آیت 83 فَاِنْ رَّجَعَکَ اللّٰہُ اِلٰی طَآءِفَۃٍ مِّنْہُمْ مضمون سے ظاہر ہو رہا ہے کہ یہ آیت مقام تبوک پر نازل ہوئی ہے۔ سورت کے اس دوسرے حصے کے پہلے چار رکوعوں چھٹے رکوع سے لے کر نویں رکوع تک کے بارے میں تو یقین سے کہا جاسکتا ہے کہ وہ غزوۂ تبوک پر روانگی سے قبل نازل ہوئے تھے۔ ان کے بعد کی آیات مختلف مواقع پر نازل ہوئیں ‘ کچھ جاتے ہوئے راستے میں ‘ کچھ تبوک میں قیام کے دوران اور کچھ واپس آتے ہوئے راستے میں۔فَاسْتَاْذَنُوْکَ لِلْخُرُوْجِ یعنی کسی مہم پر ‘ کسی اور دشمن کے خلاف آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ جہاد میں شریک ہونا چاہیں :فَقُلْ لَّنْ تَخْرُجُوْا مَعِیَ اَبَدًا غزوۂ تبوک کی مہم میں تمہارا آخری امتحان ہوچکا ہے اور اس میں تم لوگ ناکام ہوچکے ہو۔وَّلَنْ تُقَاتِلُوْا مَعِیَ عَدُوًّاط اِنَّکُمْ رَضِیْتُمْ بالْقُعُوْدِ اَوَّلَ مَرَّۃٍ جب جہاد کے لیے نفیر عام ہوئی اور سب پر نکلنا فرض قرار پایا تو تم اپنے گھروں میں بیٹھ رہنے پر راضی ہوگئے۔
