تو گھوم پھر لو اس زمین میں چار ماہ تک اور جان لو کہ تم اللہ کو عاجز نہیں کرسکتے اور یہ بھی کہ اللہ کافروں کو رسوا کر کے رہے گا

Commentary
آیت 2 فَسِیْحُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ اَرْبَعَۃَ اَشْہُرٍ “یعنی اس جزیرہ نمائے عرب میں تمہیں رہنے اور گھومنے پھرنے کے لیے صرف چار مہینے کی مہلت دی جارہی ہے۔وَّاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّکُمْ غَیْرُ مُعْجِزِی اللّٰہِلا وَاَنَّ اللّٰہَ مُخْزِی الْکٰفِرِیْنَ اب ان مشرکین کے لیے اللہ کے عذاب کی آخری قسط آکر رہے گی۔ یہ قطعی اعلان تو ایسے معاہدوں کے ضمن میں تھا جن میں کوئی میعاد معین نہیں تھی ‘ جیسے عام دوستی کے معاہدے ‘ جنگ نہ کرنے کے معاہدے وغیرہ۔ ایسے تمام معاہدوں کو چارہ ماہ کی پیشگی وارننگ کے ساتھ ختم کردیا گیا۔ یہ ایک معقول طریقہ تھا جو سورة الانفال کی آیت 58 میں بیان کردہ اصول فَانْبِذْ اِلَیْہِمْ عَلٰی سَوَآءٍ ط کے مطابق اختیار کیا گیا۔ یعنی معاہدے کو علی الاعلان دوسرے فریق کی طرف پھینک دیا گیا ‘ اور پھر فوراً اقدام بھی نہیں کیا گیا ‘ بلکہ چار ماہ کی مہلت بھی دے دی گئی۔
