Surah 8, ayah 43

اِذْجب
یُرِیْكَهُمُدکھلایا تجھ کو انہیں
اللّٰهُاللہ نے
فِیْمیں
مَنَامِكَتمہارے خواب میں
قَلِیْلًا ؕتھوڑے
وَلَوْاور اگر
اَرٰىكَهُمْدکھاتا تجھ کو انہیں
كَثِیْرًازیادہ
لَّفَشِلْتُمْالبتہ ہمت ہارجاتے تم
وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْاور البتہ جھگڑنے لگتے تم
فِیمیں
الْاَمْرِمعاملے میں
وَلٰكِنَّاور لیکن
اللّٰهَاللہ تعالیٰ نے
سَلَّمَ ؕسلامت رکھا
اِنَّهٗبیشک وہ
عَلِیْمٌۢجاننے والا ہے
بِذَاتِبھید
الصُّدُوْرِسینوں کے
۟

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور یاد کرو وہ وقت جبکہ اے نبی ؐ ، خدا اُن کو تمہارے خواب میں تھوڑا دکھا رہا تھا۔¹ اگر کہیں وہ تمہیں اُن کی تعداد زیادہ دکھا دیتا تو ضرور تم لوگ ہمت ہار جاتے اور لڑائی کے معاملہ میں جھگڑا شروع کر دیتے، لیکن اللہ ہی نے اِس سے تمہیں بچایا، یقیناً وہ سینوں کا حال تک جانتا ہے

یہ اس وقت کی بات ہے جب نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسلمانوں کو لے کر مدینہ سے نکل رہے تھے یا راستہ میں کسی منزل پر تھے اور یہ متحقق نہ ہوا تھا کہ کفار کا لشکر فی الواقع کتنا ہے ۔ اس وقت حضور ؐ نے خواب میں اس لشکر کو دیکھا اور جو منظر آپ کے سامنے پیش کیا گیا اس سے آپ نے اندازہ لگایا کہ دشمنوں کی تعداد کچھ بہت زیادہ نہیں ہے ۔ یہی خواب آپ نے مسلمانوں کو سنا دیا اور اس سے ہمت پا کر مسلمان آگے بڑھتے چلے گئے۔
