Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور یہ کہ”انسانوں میں سے کچھ لوگ جِنوں میں سے کچھ لوگوں کی پناہ مانگا کرتے تھے، اِس طرح اُنہوں نے جِنّوں کا غرور اور زیادہ بڑھا دیا۔“1

  1. ابن عباس ؓ کہتے ہیں کہ جاہلیت کے زمانے میں جب عرب کسی سُنسان وادی میں رات گزارتے تھے تو پُکار کر کہتے”ہم اِس وادی کے مالک جِن کی پناہ مانگتے ہیں“۔ عہدِ جاہلیت کی دوسری روایات میں بھی بکثرت اس بات کا ذکر ملتا ہے ۔ مثلاً اگر کسی جگہ پانی اور چارہ ختم ہو جاتا تو خانہ بدوش بدّو اپنا ایک آدمی کوئی دوسری جگہ تلاش کرنے کے لیے بھیجتے جہاں پانی اور چارہ مل سکتا ہو، پھر اُس کی نشان دہی پر جب یہ لوگ نئی جگہ پہنچتے تو وہاں اُترنے سے پہلے پکار پکار کر کہتے”کہ ہم اس وادی کے رب کی پناہ مانگتے ہیں تا کہ یہاں ہم ہر آفت سے محفوظ رہیں“۔ ان لوگوں کا عقیدہ یہ تھا کہ ہر غیر آباد جگہ کسی نہ کسی جن کے قبضے میں ہے اور اس کی پناہ مانگے بغیر وہاں کوئی ٹھیر جائے تو وہ جن یا تو خود ستا تا ہے یا دوسرے جِنوں کو ستانے دیتا ہے ۔ اسی بات کی طرف یہ ایمان لانے والے جِن اشارہ کر رہے ہیں۔ اُن کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ جب زمین کے خلیفہ انسان نے اُلٹا ہم سے ڈرنا شروع کر دیا اور خدا کو چھوڑ کر وہ ہم سے پناہ مانگنے لگا تو ہماری قوم کے لوگوں کا دماغ اور زیادہ خراب ہو گیا، ان کا کبروغرور اور کفر وظلم اور زیادہ بڑھ گیا، اور وہ گمراہی میں زیادہ جری ہو گئے۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور یہ کہ انسانوں میں سے کچھ مرد جنات میں سے کچھ مردوں کی پناہ پکڑتے تھے تو انہوں نے ان (جنات) کی سرکشی میں مزید اضافہ کیا۔

Commentary

آیت 6{ وَّاَنَّہٗ کَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْاِنْسِ یَعُوْذُوْنَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوْہُمْ رَہَقًا۔ } ”اور یہ کہ انسانوں میں سے کچھ مرد جنات میں سے کچھ مردوں کی پناہ پکڑتے تھے ‘ تو انہوں نے ان جنات کی سرکشی میں مزید اضافہ کیا۔“ عربوں کے ہاں جنات سے پناہ طلب کرنے کا رواج عام تھا۔ وہ سمجھتے تھے کہ ہر جنگل اور ہر ویرانے میں جنات کا بسیرا ہوتا ہے۔ اس لیے جب ان کا کوئی قافلہ صحرا میں کہیں پڑائو کرتا تو قافلے کا سردار بآوازِ بلند پکارتا کہ ہم اس وادی کے سردار جن کی پناہ میں آتے ہیں۔ اب ظاہر ہے جنات تو انسانوں کی ایسی حماقتوں پر ہنستے ہوں گے کہ دیکھو ! آج اسی آدم علیہ السلام کی اولاد ہمیں معبود بنائے بیٹھی ہے جسے سجدہ نہ کرنے پر ہمارے جدامجد کو جنت سے نکال دیا گیا تھا۔ چناچہ انسانوں کی ایسی حرکتوں سے جنات کے غرور اور سرکشی میں اور بھی اضافہ ہوتا چلا گیا۔
