  1. هُوَوہ اللہ
  2. الَّذِیْوہ ذات ہے
  3. خَلَقَكُمْجس نے پیدا کیا تم کو
  4. مِّنْسے
  5. نَّفْسٍجان (سے)
  6. وَّاحِدَةٍایک
  7. وَّجَعَلَاور بنایا
  8. مِنْهَااس سے
  9. زَوْجَهَااس کا جوڑا
  10. لِیَسْكُنَتاکہ سکون حاصل کرے
  11. اِلَیْهَا ۚاس سے۔ اس کے پاس
  12. فَلَمَّاپھر جب
  13. تَغَشّٰىهَااس نے ڈھانپ لیا اس کو
  14. حَمَلَتْاس نے اٹھایا
  15. حَمْلًابوجھ
  16. خَفِیْفًاہلکا
  17. فَمَرَّتْپس چلتی رہی
  18. بِهٖ ۚساتھ اس کے
  19. فَلَمَّاۤپھر جب
  20. اَثْقَلَتْوہ بوجھل ہوگئی
  21. دَّعَوَادونوں نے پکارا
  22. اللّٰهَاللہ کو
  23. رَبَّهُمَاجو رب ہے ان دونوں کا
  24. لَىِٕنْالبتہ اگر
  25. اٰتَیْتَنَادیا تو نے ہم کو
  26. صَالِحًاصحیح سلامت۔ صحیح اعضاء والا (بچہ)
  27. لَّنَكُوْنَنَّالبتہ ہم ضرور ہوجائیں گے
  28. مِنَمیں سے
  29. الشّٰكِرِیْنَشکر کرنے والوں

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

وہ اللہ ہی ہے جس نے تمہیں ایک جان سے پیدا کیا اور اسی کی جنس سے اس کا جوڑا بنایا تاکہ اس کے پاس سکون حاصل کرے پھر جب مرد نے عورت کو ڈھانک لیا تو اسے ایک خفیف سا حمل رہ گیا جسے لیے لیے وہ چلتی پھرتی رہی پھر جب وہ بوجھل ہو گئی تو دونوں نے مل کر اللہ، اپنے رب سے دعا کی کہ اگر تو نے ہم کو اچھا سا بچہ دیا تو ہم تیرے شکر گزار ہوں گے

Bayan-ul-Quran

وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں پیدا کیا ایک جان سے اور اسی سے بنایا اس کا جوڑا تاکہ وہ اس کے پاس سکون حاصل کرے تو جب وہ (شوہر) ڈھانپ لیتا ہے اس (اپنی بیوی) کو تو اسے حمل ہوجاتا ہے ہلکا سا حمل تو وہ اس کے ساتھ چلتی پھرتی رہتی ہے پھر جب بوجھل ہوجاتی ہے تو وہ دونوں اپنے رب کو پکارتے ہیں کہ اگر تو ہمیں صحیح سالم بچہ عطا کر دے گا تو ہم تیرے شکر گزاروں میں سے ہوں گے

Commentary

آیت 189 ہُوَ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَکُمْ مِّنْ نَّفْسٍ وَّاحِدَۃٍ وَّجَعَلَ مِنْہَا زَوْجَہَا لِیَسْکُنَ اِلَیْہَا ج۔ اس نکتے کی وضاحت سورة البقرۃ کی آیت 187 وَابْتَغُوْا مَا کَتَبَ اللّٰہُ لَکُمْص کے مطالعے کے دوران گزر چکی ہے۔ شوہر اور بیوی کے تعلقات میں جہاں اولاد کا معاملہ ہے وہاں تسکین اور سکون کا پہلو بھی ہے۔فَلَمَّا تَغَشّٰٹہَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلاً خَفِیْفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِہٖ ج۔ ابتدا میں حمل اتنا خفیف ہوتا ہے کہ پتا بھی نہیں چلتا کہ کوئی حمل ٹھہر گیا ہے۔
