ثمود1 اور عاد نے اُس اچانک ٹوٹ پڑنے والی  آفت2 کو جھُٹلایا

  1. کفارِ مکہ چونکہ قیامت کو جھٹلا رہے تھے اور اُس کے آنے کی خبر کو مزاق سمجھتے تھے اس لیے پہلے اُن کو خبردار کیاگیا کہ وہ تو ہونی شُدنی ہے، تم چاہے مانو یا نہ مانو، وہ بہر حال آکر رہے گی۔ اس کے بعد اب اُن کو بتایا جارہا ہے کہ یہ معاملہ صرف اتنا سادہ سا معاملہ نہیں ہے کہ کوئی شخص ایک پیش آنے والے واقعہ کی خبر کو تسلیم کرتا ہے یا نہیں، بلکہ اس کا نہایت گہرا تعلق قوموں کےاخلاق اور پھر اُن کے مستقبل سے ہے۔ تم سے پہلے گزری ہوئی قوموں کی تاریخ شاہد ہے کہ جس قوم نے بھی آخرت کا انکار کر کے اسی دنیا کی زندگی کو اصل زندگی سمجھا اور اس بات کو جھٹلا دیا کہ انسان کو آخر کار خدا کی عدالت میں اپنا حساب دینا ہوگا ، وہ سخت اخلاقی بگاڑ میں مبتلا ہوئی، یہاں تک کہ خدا کے عذاب نے آکر دنیا کو اس کے وجود سے پاک کر دیا۔

  2. اصل لفظ القارعہ ہے۔ قرع عربی زبا ن میں ٹھوکنے، کوٹنے، کھڑ کھڑا دینے ، اور ایک چیز کو دوسری چیز پر مار دینے کے لیے بولا جاتا ہے۔ قیامت کے لیے یہ دوسرا لفظ اُس کی ہولناکی کا تصور دلانے کے لیے استعمال کیا گیا ہے۔

جھٹلایا تھا ثمود نے بھی اور عاد نے بھی اس کھڑکھڑا دینے والی کو۔

Commentary

آیت 4 { کَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ وَعَادٌم بِالْقَارِعَۃِ۔ } ”جھٹلایا تھا ثمود نے بھی اور عاد نے بھی اس کھڑکھڑا دینے والی کو۔“ القارعۃ سے مراد بھی قیامت ہے۔ قَـرَعَ کا معنی ہے ایک سخت چیز کو دوسری چیز سے ٹکرانا ‘ کو ٹنا ‘ ریزہ ریزہ کردینا ‘ کھڑکھڑا دینا ‘ یا بہت زور سے کھٹکھٹانا۔ الحاقّۃ اور القارعۃ ان دونوں الفاظ کے مابین ایک نسبت یہ بھی ہے کہ یہ دوسورتوں کے نام ہیں اور ان دونوں سورتوں کے آغاز کا انداز بھی ایک جیسا ہے۔ چناچہ سورة القارعۃ کا آغاز بھی بالکل اسی طرح ہو رہا ہے : { اَلْقَارِعَۃُ - مَا الْقَارِعَۃُ - وَمَـآ اَدْرٰٹکَ مَا الْقَارِعَۃُ۔ }
