Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
تمہارے لیے سمندر کا شکار اور اس کا کھانا حلال کردیا گیا،1جہاں تم ٹھیرو وہاں بھی اُسے کھاسکتے ہو اور قافلے کے لیے زادِراہ بھی بناسکتے ہو۔ البتّہ خشکی کا شکار جب تک تم اِحرام کی حالت میں ہو، تم پر حرام کیا گیا ہے۔ پس بچو اُس خدا کی نا فرمانی سے جس کی پیشی میں تم سب کو گھیر کر حاضر کیا جائے گا

چونکہ سمندر کے سفر میں بسا اوقات زادِ راہ ختم ہو جا تا ہے اور غذا کی فراہمی کے لیے بجُز اس کے کہ آبی جانوروں کا شکار کیا جائے اور کوئی تدبیر ممکن نہیں ہوتی اس لیے بحری شکار حلال کر دیا گیا۔
