Surah 5, ayah 7

  1. وَاذْكُرُوْااور یاد کرو
  2. نِعْمَةَنعمت
  3. اللّٰهِاللہ کی
  4. عَلَیْكُمْجو تم پر ہے
  5. وَمِیْثَاقَهُاور اس کا پکا وعدہ۔ پختہ عہد
  6. الَّذِیْوہ جو
  7. وَاثَقَكُمْاس نے لیا ہے تم سے۔ اس نے باندھا ہے تم سے
  8. بِهٖۤ ۙساتھ اس کے
  9. اِذْجب
  10. قُلْتُمْکہا تم نے
  11. سَمِعْنَاسنا ہم نے
  12. وَاَطَعْنَا ؗاور اطاعت کی ہم نے
  13. وَاتَّقُوااور ڈرو
  14. اللّٰهَ ؕاللہ سے
  15. اِنَّبیشک
  16. اللّٰهَاللہ
  17. عَلِیْمٌۢجاننے والا ہے
  18. بِذَاتِبھید
  19. الصُّدُوْرِسینوں کے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اللہ نے تم کو جو نعمت عطا کی ہے1 اس کا خیال رکھو اور اُس پختہ عہد و پیمان کو نہ بُھولو جو اُس نے تم سے لیا ہے، یعنی تمہارا یہ قول کہ ”ہم نے سُنا اور اطاعت قبول کی“۔ اللہ سے ڈرو، اللہ دلوں کے راز تک جانتا ہے

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور اللہ نے تمہیں جو اپنی نعمت عطا کی ہے اس کو یاد رکھو اور اس معاہدے کو بھی جو اس نے تم سے باندھ لیا ہے (یا جس میں اس نے تمہیں باندھ لیا ہے) جب تم نے کہا تھا ہم نے سنا اور اطاعت قبول کی اور اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرو یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ سینوں کے رازوں سے بھی واقف ہے

Commentary

آیت 7 وَاذْکُرُوْا نِعْمَۃَ اللّٰہِ عَلَیْکُمْ وَمِیْثَاقَہُ الَّذِیْ وَاثَقَکُمْ بِہٖٓ ایک میثاق وہ تھا جو بنی اسرائیل سے لیا گیا تھا ‘ اب ایک میثاق یہ ہے جو اہل ایمان سے ہو رہا ہے۔ چونکہ یہ سورة شروع ہوئی تھی یٰٓاَیُّہَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْآسے ‘ یعنی اہل ایمان سے خطاب ہے ‘ لہٰذا اس میثاق میں بھی اہل ایمان ہی مخاطب ہیں۔ اِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَاَطَعْنَاز سورۃ البقرۃ کی آخری آیت سے پہلے والی آیت میں اہل ایمان کا یہ اقرار موجود ہے : سَمِعْنَا وَاَطَعْنَاز غُفْرَانَکَ رَبَّنَا وَاِلَیْکَ الْمَصِیْرُ ۔ اب جو مسلمان بھی سَمِعْنَا وَاَطَعْنَاکہتا ہے وہ گویا ایک میثاق اور ایک ‘ بہت مضبوط معاہدے کے اندر اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ بندھ جاتا ہے۔ یعنی اب اسے اللہ کی شریعت کی پابندی کرنی ہے۔
