- اِنَّاۤبیشک ہم نے
- اَنْزَلْنَانازل کی ہم نے
- التَّوْرٰىةَتورات
- فِیْهَااس میں
- هُدًیہدایت
- وَّنُوْرٌ ۚاور نور ہے
- یَحْكُمُفیصلہ کرتے تھے
- بِهَاساتھ اس کے
- النَّبِیُّوْنَانبیاء
- الَّذِیْنَوہ لوگ
- اَسْلَمُوْاجو اسلام لائے
- لِلَّذِیْنَان لوگوں کے لیے
- هَادُوْاجو یہودی ہوئے
- وَالرَّبّٰنِیُّوْنَاور ربانی ہیں
- وَالْاَحْبَارُاور علماء۔ فقہاء بھی
- بِمَابوجہ اس کے
- اسْتُحْفِظُوْاجو نگران ٹھہرائے گئے
- مِنْسے
- كِتٰبِکتاب میں
- اللّٰهِاللہ کی
- وَكَانُوْااور تھے وہ
- عَلَیْهِاس پر
- شُهَدَآءَ ۚگواہ
- فَلَاتو نہ
- تَخْشَوُاتم ڈرو
- النَّاسَلوگوں سے
- وَاخْشَوْنِاور ڈرو مجھ سے
- وَلَااور نہ تم
- تَشْتَرُوْابیچو
- بِاٰیٰتِیْمیری آیات کو
- ثَمَنًاقیمت
- قَلِیْلًا ؕتھوڑی (قیمت کے عوض)
- وَمَنْاور جو کوئی
- لَّمْنہ
- یَحْكُمْفیصلہ کرے
- بِمَاۤساتھ اس کے جو
- اَنْزَلَنازل کیا
- اللّٰهُاللہ نے
- فَاُولٰٓىِٕكَتو یہی لوگ ہیں
- هُمُوہ
- الْكٰفِرُوْنَجو کافر ہیں

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
ہم نے توراة نازل کی جس میں ہدایت اور روشنی تھی۔ سارے نبی، جو مُسلِم تھے، اُسی کے مطابق ان یہودی بن جانے والوں کے معاملات1 کا فیصلہ کرتے تھے، اور اِسی طرح ربّانی اور اَحبار بھی2(اسی پر فیصلہ کا مدار رکھتے تھے) کیونکہ انہیں کتاب اللہ کی حفاظت کا ذمہ دار بنایا گیا تھا اور وہ اس پر گواہ تھے۔ پس (اے گروہِ یہود !) تم لوگوں سے نہ ڈرو بلکہ مجھ سے ڈرو اور میری آیات کو ذرا ذرا سے معاوضے لے کر بیچنا چھوڑ دو۔ جو لوگ اللہ کے نازل کردہ قانون کے مطابق فیصلہ نہ کریں وہی کافر ہیں

یہاں ضمناً اس حقیقت پر بھی متنبّہ کر دیا گیا کہ انبیاء سب کے سب ”مسلم“ تھے، بخلاف اس کے یہ یہودی ”اسلام “ سے ہٹ کر اور فرقہ بندی میں مبتلا ہو کر صرف”یہودی“ بن کر رہ گئے تھے۔
