  11. قَبْلِهِمْ ؕان سے پہلے تھے
  12. كَانُوْۤاتھے وہ
  13. اَكْثَرَکثرت سے
  14. مِنْهُمْان سے
  15. وَاَشَدَّاور زیادہ شدید
  16. قُوَّةًقوت میں
  17. وَّاٰثَارًااور آثار کے اعتبار سے
  18. فِیمیں
  19. الْاَرْضِزمین (میں)
  20. فَمَاۤپس نہ
  21. اَغْنٰیکام آیا
  22. عَنْهُمْان کو
  23. مَّاجو کچھ
  24. كَانُوْاتھے وہ
  25. یَكْسِبُوْنَوہ کمائی کرتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

پھر کیا1یہ زمین مین چلے پھرے نہیں ہیں کہ اِن کو اُن لوگوں کا انجام نظر آتا جو اِن سے پہلے گزر چکے ہیں ؟ وہ اِن سے تعداد میں زیادہ تھے، اِن سے بڑھ کر طاقتور تھے، اور زمین میں اِن سے زیادہ شاندار آثار چھوڑ گئے ہیں۔ جو کچھ کمائی اُنہوں نے کی تھی، آخر وہ اُن کے کس کام آئی؟

تو کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں گھومے پھرے نہیں کہ غور کرتے کہ کیسا انجام ہوا ان کا جو ان سے پہلے تھے ! وہ ان سے کہیں زیادہ تھے تعداد میں اور زیادہ شدید تھے طاقت میں بھی اور زمین میں نشانات چھوڑنے کے اعتبار سے بھی تو ان کے کچھ کام نہ آیا وہ سب کچھ جو وہ کماتے رہے تھے۔

Commentary

آیت 82 { اَفَلَمْ یَسِیْرُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ فَیَنْظُرُوْا کَیْفَ کَانَ عَاقِبَۃُ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِہِمْ } ”تو کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں گھومے پھرے نہیں کہ غور کرتے کہ کیسا انجام ہوا ان کا جو ان سے پہلے تھے !“ { کَانُوْٓا اَکْثَرَ مِنْہُمْ وَاَشَدَّ قُوَّۃً وَّاٰثَارًا فِی الْاَرْضِ } ”وہ ان سے کہیں زیادہ تھے تعداد میں اور زیادہ شدید تھے طاقت میں بھی اور زمین میں نشانات چھوڑنے کے اعتبار سے بھی“ { فَمَآ اَغْنٰی عَنْہُمْ مَّا کَانُوْا یَکْسِبُوْنَ } ”تو ان کے کچھ کام نہ آیا وہ سب کچھ جو وہ کماتے رہے تھے۔“ ان کے یہ سارے کارنامے اور ساری کمائی انہیں اللہ کے عذاب سے نہ بچا سکی۔
