- اِنَّبیشک
- الَّذِیْنَوہ لوگ
- تَوَفّٰىهُمُفوت کرتے ہیں ان کو
- الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُفرشتے (اس حال میں کہ وہ)
- ظَالِمِیْۤظلم کرنے والے ہیں
- اَنْفُسِهِمْاپنی جانوں پر
- قَالُوْاوہ کہتے ہیں
- فِیْمَکس میں
- كُنْتُمْ ؕتھے تم
- قَالُوْاوہ کہتے ہیں
- كُنَّاتھے ہم
- مُسْتَضْعَفِیْنَکمزور ۔ بےبس۔ مجبور
- فِیمیں
- الْاَرْضِ ؕزمین
- قَالُوْۤاوہ کہتے ہیں
- اَلَمْکیا نہیں
- تَكُنْتھی
- اَرْضُزمین
- اللّٰهِاللہ کی
- وَاسِعَةًوسیع۔ فراخ
- فَتُهَاجِرُوْاکہ تم ہجرت کر جاتے
- فِیْهَا ؕاس میں
- فَاُولٰٓىِٕكَتو یہی لوگ
- مَاْوٰىهُمْٹھکانہ ان کا
- جَهَنَّمُ ؕجہنم ہے
- وَسَآءَتْاور کتنا برا ہے
- مَصِیْرًاٹھکانہ

Translation and commentary
Bayan-ul-Quran
یقیناوہ لوگ کہ جن کو فرشتے اس حال میں قبض کریں گے کہ وہ اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کر رہے تھے وہ ان سے کہیں گے یہ تم کس حال میں تھے ؟ وہ کہیں گے ہم مجبور اور کمزوربنا دیے گئے تھے اس زمین میں وہ (فرشتے) کہیں گے کیا اللہ کی زمین کشادہ نہیں تھی کہ تم اس میں ہجرت کرتے ؟ تو یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے اور وہ بہت بری جگہ ہے ٹھہرنے کی۔

Commentary
آیت 97 اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ تَوَفّٰٹہُمُ الْمَلآءِکَۃُ ظَالِمِیْٓ اَنْفُسِہِمْ یعنی انہوں نے ہجرت نہیں کی تھی ‘ اس سلسلے میں رسول ﷺ کے حکم کی اطاعت نہیں کی تھی۔ آخر موت تو آنی ہے ‘ لہٰذا فرشتے جب ان کی روحیں قبض کریں گے تو ان کے ساتھ اس طرح مکالمہ کریں گے : قَالُوْا فِیْمَ کُنْتُمْ ط تم نے ایمان کا دعویٰ تو کیا تھا ‘ لیکن جب رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ہجرت کا حکم دیا تو ہجرت کیوں نہیں کی ؟ تمہیں کیا ہوگیا تھا ؟
