  1. وَمَااور نہیں
  2. یَسْتَوِیبرابر ہوسکتے
  3. الْبَحْرٰنِ ۖۗدو سمندر
  4. هٰذَایہ
  5. عَذْبٌمیٹھا ہے
  6. فُرَاتٌپیاس بجھانے والا
  7. سَآىِٕغٌخوش گوار۔ آسانی سے
  8. شَرَابُهٗپینا اس کا
  9. وَهٰذَااور یہ
  10. مِلْحٌکھاری ہے
  11. اُجَاجٌ ؕنہایت تلخ
  12. وَمِنْاورسے
  13. كُلٍّہر ایک سے
  14. تَاْكُلُوْنَتم کھاتے ہو
  15. لَحْمًاگوشت
  16. طَرِیًّاتروتازہ
  17. وَّتَسْتَخْرِجُوْنَتم نکال لیتے ہو
  18. حِلْیَةًزیورات
  19. تَلْبَسُوْنَهَا ۚتم پہنتے ہو ان کو
  20. وَتَرَیاور تم دیکھتے ہو
  21. الْفُلْكَکشتیوں کو
  22. فِیْهِاس میں
  23. مَوَاخِرَپھاڑنے والی ہیں
  24. لِتَبْتَغُوْاتاکہ تم تلاش کرو
  25. مِنْسے
  26. فَضْلِهٖاس کے فضل (سے)
  27. وَلَعَلَّكُمْاور تاکہ تم
  28. تَشْكُرُوْنَتم شکر ادا کرو

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

ور پانی کے دونوں ذخیرے یکساں نہیں ہیں۔1 ایک میٹھا اور پیاس بُجھانے والا ہے، پینے میں خوشگوار ، اور دُوسرا سخت کھاری کہ حلق چھیل دے۔ مگر دونوں سے تم تروتازہ گوشت حاصل کرتے ہو2 ، پہننے کے لیے زینت کا سامان نکالتے ہو3 ، اور اسی پانی میں تم دیکھتے ہو کہ کشتیاں اُس کا سینہ چیرتی چلی جارہی ہیں تاکہ تم اللہ کا فضل تلاش کرو اور اُس کے شکر گزار بنو

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور دو سمندر ایک جیسے نہیں ہیں یہ میٹھا ہے فرحت بخش اس کا پینا خوشگوار ہے اور یہ کھاری ہے سخت کڑوا اور ان سب سے تم کھاتے ہو تازہ گوشت اور (دونوں سے ہی) تم نکالتے ہو زیورات جنہیں تم پہنتے ہو اور تم دیکھتے ہوکشتیوں کو کہ چلتی ہیں (اس کے سینے کو) چیرتے ہوئے تاکہ تم اس کا فضل تلاش کرو اور تاکہ تم شکر اداکرو

Commentary

آیت 12 { وَمَا یَسْتَوِی الْبَحْرٰنِق } ”اور دو سمندر ایک جیسے نہیں ہیں“ { ہٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ سَآئِغٌ شَرَابُہٗ وَہٰذَا مِلْحٌ اُجَاجٌ} ”یہ میٹھا ہے فرحت بخش ‘ اس کا پینا خوشگوار ہے اور یہ کھاری ہے سخت کڑوا۔“ { وَمِنْ کُلٍّ تَاْکُلُوْنَ لَحْمًا طَرِیًّا } ”اور ان سب سے تم کھاتے ہو تازہ گوشت“ دونوں طرح کے سمندروں سے تم لوگ مچھلیاں شکار کر کے کھاتے ہو۔ ایسا نہیں ہوتا کہ کھاری سمندر کی مچھلیوں کا گوشت کڑوا ہو اور میٹھے پانی کی مچھلیاں کھانے میں خوش ذائقہ ہوں۔ { وَّتَسْتَخْرِجُوْنَ حِلْیَۃً تَلْبَسُوْنَہَاج } ”اور دونوں سے ہی تم نکالتے ہو زیورات جنہیں تم پہنتے ہو۔“ { وَتَرَی الْفُلْکَ فِیْہِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِہٖ وَلَعَلَّکُمْ تَشْکُرُوْنَ } ”اور تم دیکھتے ہوکشتیوں کو کہ چلتی ہیں اس کے سینے کو چیرتے ہوئے تاکہ تم اس کا فضل تلاش کرو اور تاکہ تم شکر اداکرو۔“
