- یَعْمَلُوْنَوہ بناتے تھے

- یَشَآءُوہ چاہتا

وہ بناتے تھے اس کے لیے جو وہ چاہتا تھا بڑی بڑی عمارتیں اور مجسمے اور تالابوں کی مانند بڑے بڑے لگن اور بڑی بڑی دیگیں جو ایک جگہ مستقل پڑی رہتی تھیں اے دائود ؑ کے گھر والو ! عمل کرو شکر ادا کرتے ہوئے اور (واقعہ یہ ہے کہ) میرے بندوں میں شکر کرنے والے کم ہی ہیں۔

Commentary
آیت 13 { یَعْمَلُوْنَ لَہٗ مَا یَشَآئُ مِنْ مَّحَارِیْبَ وَتَمَاثِیْلَ } ”وہ بناتے تھے اس کے لیے جو وہ چاہتا تھا ‘ بڑی بڑی عمارتیں اور مجسمے“ شریعت ِمحمدی میں مجسمے بنانا حرام ہے ‘ لیکن ان الفاظ سے یوں معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام کے زمانے میں ایسا کرنا جائز تھا۔ ویسے ”تِمثال“ عربی زبان میں ہر اس شبیہہ یا پیکر کو کہتے ہیں جو کسی قدرتی شے کے مشابہ بنایا جائے ‘ خواہ وہ جاند ار ہو یا بےجان۔ { وَجِفَانٍ کَالْجَوَابِ وَقُدُوْرٍ رّٰسِیٰتٍ } ”اور تالابوں کی مانند بڑے بڑے لگن اور بڑی بڑی دیگیں جو ایک جگہ مستقل پڑی رہتی تھیں۔“ یعنی وہ دیگیں اتنی بڑی ہوتی تھیں کہ چولہوں کے اوپر ہی پڑی رہتی تھی اور وہاں سے انہیں ہلایا نہیں جاسکتا تھا۔ اس طرح کی دیگیں اجمیر شریف انڈیا میں حضرت معین الدین اجمیری رح کے مزار پر بھی دیکھنے کو ملتی ہیں۔ { اِعْمَلُوْٓا اٰلَ دَاوٗدَ شُکْرًا } ”اے دائود علیہ السلام کے گھر والو ! عمل کرو شکر ادا کرتے ہوئے“ حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام چونکہ حضرت دائود علیہ السلام کے بیٹے تھے اس لیے آپ علیہ السلام کو آلِ دائود علیہ السلام کہہ کر مخاطب کیا گیا ہے کہ آپ علیہ السلام پر اللہ کی ان نعمتوں کا شکر لازم ہے۔ چناچہ آپ علیہ السلام کا ایک ایک عمل اللہ تعالیٰ کی احسان مندی کا مظہر ہونا چاہیے۔ { وَقَلِیْلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِیَ الشَّکُوْرُ } ”اور واقعہ یہ ہے کہ میرے بندوں میں شکر کرنے والے کم ہی ہیں۔“
