Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

پھر اہلِ کتاب میں سے جن لوگوں نے ان حملہ آوروں کا ساتھ دیا تھا1 ، اللہ اُن کی گڑھیوں سے انہیں اُتار لایا اور ان کے دلوں میں اُس نے ایسا رُعب ڈال دیا کہ آج ان میں سے ایک گروہ کو تم قتل کر رہے ہو اور دوسرے گروہ کو قید کررہے ہو

اور اللہ نے اتار لیا اہل ِکتاب میں سے ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے ان (مشرکین) کی مدد کی تھی ان کے قلعوں سے اور ان کے دلوں میں اس نے رعب ڈال دیا تو اب ان میں سے کچھ کو تم قتل کر رہے ہو اور کچھ کو تم قیدی بنا رہے ہو

Commentary

آیت 26 { وَاَنْزَلَ الَّذِیْنَ ظَاہَرُوْہُمْ مِّنْ اَہْلِ الْکِتٰبِ مِنْ صَیَاصِیْہِمْ } ”اور اللہ نے اتار لیا اہل ِکتاب میں سے ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے ان مشرکین کی مدد کی تھی ‘ ان کے قلعوں سے“ بنو قریظہ کا جرم یہ تھا کہ انہوں نے مسلمانوں سے بد عہدی کر کے حملہ آور قبائل کے ساتھ گٹھ جوڑ کرلیا تھا۔ چناچہ اللہ کی مشیت کے مطابق انہیں اپنے قلعوں اور گڑھیوں سے نکل کر مسلمانوں کے آگے ہتھیار ڈالنا پڑے۔ { وَقَذَفَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِہِمُ الرُّعْبَ } ”اور ان کے دلوں میں اس نے رعب ڈال دیا“ { فَرِیْقًا تَقْتُلُوْنَ وَتَاْسِرُوْنَ فَرِیْقًا } ”تو اب ان میں سے کچھ کو تم قتل کر رہے ہو اور کچھ کو تم قیدی بنا رہے ہو۔“ یعنی حضرت سعد بن معاذ رض کے فیصلے کے مطابق جنگ کے قابل مرد قتل کردیے گئے ‘ جبکہ بوڑھوں ‘ عورتوں اور بچوں کو قیدی بنا لیا گیا۔
