- فَاِنْپھر اگر
- حَآجُّوْكَوہ جھگڑا کریں آپ سے
- فَقُلْتو کہہ دیجیے
- اَسْلَمْتُمیں نے سپرد کیا
- وَجْهِیَاپنا چہرہ۔ اپنی ذات
- لِلّٰهِاللہ کے لیے
- وَمَنِاور جو کوئی
- اتَّبَعَنِ ؕاپنا اتباع کرے
- وَقُلْاور کہہ دیجیے
- لِّلَّذِیْنَان لوگوں کے لیے
- اُوْتُواجو دیے گئے
- الْكِتٰبَکتاب
- وَالْاُمِّیّٖنَاور ان پڑھ لوگوں کو۔ امی لوگوں کو
- ءَاَسْلَمْتُمْ ؕاسلام لائے تم۔ سپرد کردیا تم نے
- فَاِنْپھر اگر
- اَسْلَمُوْاوہ اسلام لے آئیں۔ سپرد کردیں
- فَقَدِتو تحقیق
- اهْتَدَوْا ۚوہ ہدایت پاگئے
- وَاِنْاوراگر
- تَوَلَّوْاوہ منہ موڑ جائیں
- فَاِنَّمَاتو بیشک
- عَلَیْكَتجھ پر ہے
- الْبَلٰغُ ؕپہنچادینا
- وَاللّٰهُاور اللہ
- بَصِیْرٌدیکھنے والا ہے
- بِالْعِبَادِبندوں کو

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
اب اگر یہ لوگ تم سے جھگڑا کریں، تو ان سے کہو : ”میں نے اور میرے پیرووں نے تو اللہ کے آگے سرتسلیم خم کر دیا ہے۔“ پھر اہل کتاب اور غیر اہلِ کتاب دونوں سے پوچھو: ”کیا تم نے بھی اس کی اطاعت و بندگی قبول کی؟“1 اگر کی تو وہ راہ ِ راست پاگئے ، اور اگر اس سے منہ موڑا تو تم پر صرف پیغام پہنچا دینے کی ذمہ داری تھی۔ آگے اللہ خود اپنے بندوں کے معاملات دیکھنے والا ہے

دُوسرے الفاظ میں اس بات کو یوں سمجھیے کہ”میں اور میرے پیرو تو اس ٹھیٹھ اسلام کے قائل ہو چکے ہیں جو خدا کا اصل دین ہے۔ اب تم بتا ؤ کہ کیا تم اپنے اور اپنے اسلاف کے بڑھائے ہوئے حاشیوں کو چھوڑ کر اس اصلی و حقیقی دین کی طرف آتے ہو“۔
