- فَاِنْپھر اگر
- حَآجُّوْكَوہ جھگڑا کریں آپ سے
- فَقُلْتو کہہ دیجیے
- اَسْلَمْتُمیں نے سپرد کیا
- وَجْهِیَاپنا چہرہ۔ اپنی ذات
- لِلّٰهِاللہ کے لیے
- وَمَنِاور جو کوئی
- اتَّبَعَنِ ؕاپنا اتباع کرے
- وَقُلْاور کہہ دیجیے
- لِّلَّذِیْنَان لوگوں کے لیے
- اُوْتُواجو دیے گئے
- الْكِتٰبَکتاب
- وَالْاُمِّیّٖنَاور ان پڑھ لوگوں کو۔ امی لوگوں کو
- ءَاَسْلَمْتُمْ ؕاسلام لائے تم۔ سپرد کردیا تم نے
- فَاِنْپھر اگر
- اَسْلَمُوْاوہ اسلام لے آئیں۔ سپرد کردیں
- فَقَدِتو تحقیق
- اهْتَدَوْا ۚوہ ہدایت پاگئے
- وَاِنْاوراگر
- تَوَلَّوْاوہ منہ موڑ جائیں
- فَاِنَّمَاتو بیشک
- عَلَیْكَتجھ پر ہے
- الْبَلٰغُ ؕپہنچادینا
- وَاللّٰهُاور اللہ
- بَصِیْرٌدیکھنے والا ہے
- بِالْعِبَادِبندوں کو

Translation and commentary
Bayan-ul-Quran
پھر (اے نبی ﷺ اگر وہ آپ ﷺ سے حجت بازی کریں تو آپ کہہ دیں کہ میں نے تو اپنا چہرہ اللہ کے سامنے جھکا دیا ہے اور انہوں نے بھی جو میرا اتباع کر رہے ہیں اور (اے نبی ﷺ !) آپ کہہ دیجیے ان سے بھی کہ جنہیں کتاب دی گئی تھی (یعنی یہود اور نصاریٰ) اور اُمّییّن سے بھی کہ کیا تم بھی اسی طرح اسلام لاتے ہو ؟ پس اگر وہ بھی اسی طرح اسلام لے آئیں تو ہدایت پر ہوجائیں گے اور اگر وہ منہ موڑ لیں تو (اے نبی ﷺ !) آپ ﷺ پر ذمہ داری صرف پہنچا دینے کی ہے اور اللہ اپنے بندوں کے حال کو دیکھ رہا ہے

Commentary
آیت 20 فَاِنْ حَآجُّوْکَ دلیل بازی اور مناظرے کی روش اختیار کریں۔ فَقُلْ اَسْلَمْتُ وَجْہِیَ لِلّٰہِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ ط۔ آپ ﷺ ان سے دو ٹوک انداز میں یہ آخری بات کہہ دیں کہ ہم نے تو اللہ کے آگے سراطاعت خم کردیا ہے۔ ہم نے ایک راستہ اختیار کرلیا ہے۔ تم جدھر جانا چاہتے ہوجاؤ ‘ جس پگڈنڈی پر مڑنا چاہتے ہو مڑ جاؤ ‘ جس کھائی میں گرنا چاہتے ہو گر جاؤ۔ لَکُمْ دِیْنُکُمْ وَلِیَ دِیْنِ الکافرون۔وَقُلْ لِّلَّذِیْنَ اُوْتُوا الْکِتٰبَ وَالْاُمِّیّٖنَ ءَ اَسْلَمْتُمْ ط کیا تم بھی سرتسلیم خم کرتے ہو یا نہیں ؟ تابع ہوتے ہو یا نہیں ؟ اپنے آپ کو اللہ کے سپرد کرتے ہو یا نہیں ؟فَاِنْ اَسْلَمُوْا فَقَدِ اہْتَدَوْا ج وَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنَّمَا عَلَیْکَ الْبَلٰغُ ط آپ ﷺ نے ہمارا پیغام ان تک پہنچا دیا ‘ ہماری دعوت ان تک پہنچا دی ‘ ہماری آیات انہیں پڑھ کر سنا دیں ‘ اب قبول کرنا یا نہ کرنا ان کا اپنا اختیار choice ہے۔ آپ ﷺ پر ذمہ داری نہیں ہے کہ یہ لوگ ایمان کیوں نہیں لائے۔ سورة البقرۃ میں ہم یہ الفاظ پڑھ آئے ہیں : وَلَا تُسْءَلُ عَنْ اَصْحٰبِ الْجَحِیْمِ ۔وَاللّٰہُ بَصِیْرٌم بالْعِبَادِ وہ ان سے حساب کتاب کرلے گا اور ان سے نمٹ لے گا۔ آپ ﷺ کے ذمہ جو فرض ہے آپ اس کو ادا کرتے رہیے۔
