- وَلَقَدْاور البتہ تحقیق
- صَدَقَكُمُسچ کیا تم سے۔ سچ کہا تم سے
- اللّٰهُاللہ نے
- وَعْدَهٗۤاپنا وعدہ۔ اپنے وعدے کو
- اِذْجب
- تَحُسُّوْنَهُمْتم قتل کر رہے تھے ان کو
- بِاِذْنِهٖ ۚاس کے اذن سے
- حَتّٰۤییہاں تک کہ
- اِذَاجب
- فَشِلْتُمْبزدلی دکھائی تم نے۔ ہمت ہار دی تم نے
- وَتَنَازَعْتُمْاور جھگڑا کیا تم نے

- وَعَصَیْتُمْاور نافرمانی کی تم نے

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
اللہ نے (تائید ونصرت کا)جو وعدہ تم سے کیا تھا وہ تو اس نے پورا کر دیا۔ ابتدا میں اس کے حکم سے تم ہی ان کو قتل کر رہےتھے۔ مگر جب تم نے کمزوری دکھائی اور اپنے کام میں باہم اختلاف کیا، اور جونہی کہ وہ چیز اللہ نے تمہیں دکھائی جس کی محبت میں تم گرفتار تھے( یعنی مالِ غنیمت)تم اپنے سردار کے حکم کی خلاف ورزی کر بیٹھے۔۔۔۔اس لیے کہ تم میں سے کچھ لوگ دنیا کے طالب تھے اور کچھ آخرت کی خواہش رکھتے تھے۔۔۔۔ تب اللہ نے تمہیں کافروں کے مقابلہ میں پسپا کردیا تاکہ تمہاری آزمائش کرے۔ اور حق یہ ہے کہ اللہ نے پھر بھی تمہیں معاف ہی کر دیا1 کیونکہ مومنوں پر اللہ بڑی نظر عنایت رکھتا ہے

یعنی تم نے غلطی تو ایسی کی تھی کہ اگر اللہ تمہیں معاف نہ کردیتا تو اس وقت تمہارا استیصال ہو جاتا۔ یہ اللہ کا فضل تھا اور اس کی تائید و حمایت تھی جس کی بدولت تمہارے دشمن تم پر قابو پالینے کے بعد ہوش گم کر بیٹھے اور بلاوجہ خود پسپا ہوکر چلے گئے۔
