اور اللہ کو تو ضرور یہ دیکھنا ہی ہے کہ ایمان لانے والے کون ہیں اور منافق کون۔1

یعنی اللہ آزمائش کے مواقع اسی لیے بار بار لاتا ہے تا کہ مومنوں کے ایمان اور منافقوں کے نفاق کا حال کھل جائے اور جس کے اندر جو کچھ بھی چھپا ہو ا ہے وہ سامنے آجائے۔ یہی بات سورۂ آل ِ عمران میں فرمائی گئی ہے کہ مَا کَانَ اللہُ لِیَذَرَ الْمُؤْ مِنِیْنَ عَلیٰ مَآ اَنْتُمْ عَلَیْہ حَتّٰی یَمِیْزَ الْخَبِیْثَ مِنَ الطَّیِّبِ (آیت 179)۔ ”اللہ مومنوں کو ہر گز اس حالت میں رہنے دینے والا نہیں ہے جس میں تم اِس وقت ہو (کہ صادق الایمان اور منافق سب ملے جلے ہیں)۔ وہ پاک لوگوں کو ناپاک لوگوں سے الگ نمایاں کر کے رہے گا۔“

Commentary
آیت 11 وَلَیَعْلَمَنَّ اللّٰہُ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَلَیَعْلَمَنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ ”یعنی ابھی اس مرض کی ابتدا ہے۔ اگر تم لوگ nip the evil in the bud کے مصداق ابھی سے اس کا علاج کرلو گے تو بچ جاؤ گے۔ منافقت کا مرض ٹی بی کے مرض کی طرح ہے جو انفیکشن سے شروع ہوتا ہے اور مختلف مراحل سے گزرتا ہوا لا علاج روگ بن جاتا ہے۔ چناچہ ابھی تم لوگوں کو اس مرض کی انفیکشن ہوئی ہے۔ اگر ابھی تم نے اس کے تدارک کی فکر نہ کی اور یہ روگ ابتدائی مرحلے سے آگے بڑھ گیا تو مہلک اور لا علاج مرض باقاعدہ منافقت کی شکل اختیار کر جائے گا۔ اس آیت کے حوالے سے ایک خصوصی نکتہ یاد رکھنے کا یہ ہے کہ مکی قرآن کا یہ واحد مقام ہے جہاں لفظ ”منافق“ آیا ہے۔ سورة الحج کی مذکورہ بالا آیت میں بھی منافقانہ کردار کا ذکر ہوا ہے ‘ لیکن ”منافق“ کا لفظ استعمال نہیں ہوا۔
