وَاِذَااور جب
سَمِعُواانہوں نے سنا
اللَّغْوَبےہودہ بات کو
اَعْرَضُوْاکنارہ کش ہوگئے
عَنْهُاس سے
وَقَالُوْااور انہوں نے کہا
لَنَاۤہمارے لئے
اَعْمَالُنَاہمارے اعمال ہیں
وَلَكُمْاور تمہارے لئے
اَعْمَالُكُمْ ؗتمہارے اعمال
سَلٰمٌسلام ہو
عَلَیْكُمْ ؗتم پر
لَانہیں
نَبْتَغِیہم چاہتے
الْجٰهِلِیْنَجاہلوں کو
۟

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور جب انہوں نے بیہودہ بات سُنی¹ تو یہ کہہ کر اُس سے کنارہ کش ہوگئے کہ ”ہمارے اعمال ہمارے لیے اور تمہارے اعمال تمہارے لیے، تم کو سلام ہے، ہم جاہلوں کا سا طریقہ اختیار کرنا نہیں چاہتے۔“
