  4. اَعْرَضُوْاکنارہ کش ہوگئے

  6. وَقَالُوْااور انہوں نے کہا
  7. لَنَاۤہمارے لئے
  8. اَعْمَالُنَاہمارے اعمال ہیں
  9. وَلَكُمْاور تمہارے لئے
  10. اَعْمَالُكُمْ ؗتمہارے اعمال
  11. سَلٰمٌسلام ہو
  12. عَلَیْكُمْ ؗتم پر
  13. لَانہیں
  14. نَبْتَغِیہم چاہتے
  15. الْجٰهِلِیْنَجاہلوں کو

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور جب انہوں نے بیہودہ بات سُنی1 تو یہ کہہ کر اُس سے کنارہ کش ہوگئے کہ ”ہمارے اعمال ہمارے لیے اور تمہارے اعمال تمہارے لیے، تم کو سلام ہے، ہم جاہلوں کا سا طریقہ اختیار کرنا نہیں چاہتے۔“

اور جب انہوں نے لغو باتیں سنیں تو انہوں نے ان سے اعراض کیا اور کہا کہ ہمارے لیے ہمارے اعمال ہیں اور تمہارے لیے تمہارے اعمال تم لوگوں پر سلام ! ہم جاہلوں سے الجھنا نہیں چاہتے

Commentary

سَلٰمٌ عَلَیْکُمْز لَا نَبْتَغِی الْجٰہِلِیْنَ ”یہاں اس مکالمے کی طرف اشارہ ہے جو حبشہ کے وفد کے ارکان کا مشرکین مکہ کے ساتھ ہوا تھا۔ یہ وفد حضور ﷺ سے ملاقات کے لیے مکہ آیا تھا۔ واقعہ دراصل یوں تھا کہ مکہ سے حبشہ کی طرف پہلی ہجرت کرنے والے صحابہ رض کی تبلیغ سے حبشہ میں کچھ عیسائیوں نے اسلام قبول کرلیا۔ جیسے بعد میں دوسری ہجرت کے مہاجرین ‘ صحابہ کی تبلیغ سے شاہ حبشہ نجاشی بھی ایمان لے آئے تھے ‘ جو اپنی زندگی میں حضور ﷺ کی زیارت کر کے صحابیت کا درجہ تو نہ پا سکے ‘ البتہ صحابہ رض سے ملاقات کی بنا پر وہ تابعی ضرو رہیں۔ حضرت نجاشی کو یہ اعزاز حاصل ہے کہ حضور ﷺ نے ان کی غائبانہ نماز جنازہ پڑھائی اور یہ واحد غائبانہ نماز جنازہ ہے جو حضور ﷺ سے پڑھانا ثابت ہے۔ حبشہ میں جن لوگوں نے صحابہ رض کی کوششوں سے ایمان قبول کیا تھا بعد میں ان میں سے کچھ لوگ حضور ﷺ سے ملاقات کے ارمان میں ایک وفد کی صورت میں مکہ آئے اور حضور ﷺ کی زیارت کی سعادت حاصل کی۔ جب مشرکین مکہّ کو ان لوگوں کی آمد کا علم ہوا تو انہوں نے ان لوگوں سے بہت بےہودہ باتیں کیں ‘ انہیں طعنے دیے اور ان کا خوب تمسخر اڑایا کہ تم لوگ بہت احمق ہو جو اپنی الہامی کتاب کو چھوڑ کر اس نئے دین میں شامل ہوگئے ہو۔ آیت زیر مطالعہ میں اس وفد کے لوگوں کا جواب نقل ہوا ہے جو انہوں نے مشرکین مکہ کو دیا تھا کہ ہمارا آپ لوگوں سے کچھ سروکار نہیں ‘ ہم اپنے اعمال کے ذمہ دار ہیں اور تم لوگ اپنے اعمال کے۔ ہم اللہ کے فضل سے پہلے بھی حق پر تھے اور اب ہمیں اس حق پر بھی ایمان لانے کی سعادت ملی ہے جو قرآن کی صورت میں ہمارے رب کی طرف سے آیا ہے۔
