  1. وَلَوْلَاۤاور کیوں نہیں
  2. اَنْکہ
  3. تُصِیْبَهُمْپہنچی ان کو
  4. مُّصِیْبَةٌکوئی مصیبت
  5. بِمَابوجہ اس کے جو
  6. قَدَّمَتْآگے بھیجی
  7. اَیْدِیْهِمْان کے ہاتھوں نے
  8. فَیَقُوْلُوْاتو وہ کہتے
  9. رَبَّنَااے ہمارے رب
  10. لَوْلَاۤکیوں نہ
  11. اَرْسَلْتَبھیجا تو نے
  12. اِلَیْنَاہماری طرف
  13. رَسُوْلًاایک رسول
  14. فَنَتَّبِعَتو ہم پیروی کرتے
  15. اٰیٰتِكَتیری آیات کی
  16. وَنَكُوْنَاور ہم ہوجاتے
  17. مِنَسے
  18. الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَایمان لانے والوں میں (سے)

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

(اور یہ ہم نے اس لیے کیا کہ)کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ اُن کے اپنے کیے کرتُوتوں کی بدولت کوئی مصیبت جب اُن پر آئے تو وہ کہیں”اے پروردگار، تُو نے کیوں نہ ہماری طرف کوئی رسُول بھیجا کہ ہم تیری آیات کی پیروی کرتے اور اہلِ ایمان میں سے ہوتے۔“1

  1. اِسی چیزکو قرآن مجید متعدد مقامات پر رسولوں کے بھیجے جانے کی وجہ کے طور پر پیش کرتا ہے ۔ مگر اس سے یہ نتیجہ نکالنا صحیح نہیں ہے کہ اس غرض کے لیے ہر وقت ہر جگہ ایک رسول آنا چاہیے۔ جب تک دنیا میں ایک رسول کا پیغام اپنی صحیح صورت میں موجود رہے  اور لوگوں تک اس کے پہنچنے کےذرائع موجود رہیں، کسی نئے رسول کی حاجت نہیں رہتی، الّا یہ کہ پچھلے پیغام میں کسی اضافے کی اور کوئی نیا پیغام دینے کی ضرورت ہو۔ البتہ جب انبیاء کی تعلیمات محو ہو جائیں، یا گمراہیوں میں خلط ملط ہو کر وسیلہ ہدایت بننے کے قابل نہ رہیں، تب لوگوں کے لیے یہ عذر پیش کرنے کا موقع پیدا ہو جاتا ہے کہ ہمیں حق وباطل کے فرق سے آگاہ کرنے اور صحیح راہ بتانے کا کوئی، انتظآم سرےسے موجود ہی نہیں تھا، پھر بھلا ہم کیسے ہدایت پا سکتے تھے۔ اسی عذر کو قطع کرنے کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ ایسے حالا ت میں نبی مبعوث فرماتا ہے تا کہ اس کے بعد جو شخص بھی غلط راہ پر چلے وہ اپنی کجروی کا ذمہ دارا ٹھیرا یا جا سکے۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور (یہ ہم نے اس لیے کیا کہ) کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ جب انہیں کوئی مصیبت پہنچے ان کے کرتوتوں کے سبب تو یہ کہیں کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار ! ُ تو نے کیوں نہ بھیجا ہماری طرف کوئی رسول کہ ہم تیری آیات کی پیروی کرتے اور ایمان لانے والوں میں سے ہوجاتے

Commentary

فَنَتَّبِعَ اٰیٰتِکَ وَنَکُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ”اگر رسول مبعوث کیے بغیر ان پر عذاب آجاتا تو یہ لوگ عذر کرتے کہ ہمیں متنبہ کیوں نہیں کیا گیا ؟ جب ہمارے معاملے میں اتمام حجت نہیں ہوئی تو پھر یہ عذاب ہمارے اوپر کیونکر مسلط کردیا گیا ؟ یہی مضمون سورة طٰہٰ میں اس طرح بیان ہوا ہے : وَلَوْ اَنَّآ اَہْلَکْنٰہُمْ بِعَذَابٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِہٖ لَقَالُوْا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَآ اَرْسَلْتَ اِلَیْنَا رَسُوْلًا فَنَتَّبِعَ اٰیٰتِکَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزٰی ”اور اگر ہم اس قرآن کے نزول سے پہلے ہی انہیں عذاب سے ہلاک کردیتے تو یہ کہتے کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار ! تو نے ہماری طرف کوئی رسول کیوں نہ بھیجا کہ ہم تیری آیات کی پیروی کرتے ذلیل و رسوا ہونے سے پہلے !“
