  1. وَلٰكِنَّاۤلیکن ہم نے
  2. اَنْشَاْنَااٹھایا ہم نے
  3. قُرُوْنًاقوموں کو
  4. فَتَطَاوَلَتو لمبی ہوگئی/دراز ہوگئی

  6. الْعُمُرُ ۚمدت
  7. وَمَااور نہ
  8. كُنْتَتھا تو
  9. ثَاوِیًامقیم
  10. فِیْۤمیں
  11. اَهْلِاہل
  12. مَدْیَنَمدین (میں)

  15. اٰیٰتِنَا ۙہماری آیات
  16. وَلٰكِنَّالیکن/مگر ہم
  17. كُنَّاتھے ہم ہی

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

بلکہ اُس کے بعد (تمہارے زمانے تک)ہم بہت سی نسلیں اُٹھا چکے ہیں اور اُن پر بہت زمانہ گُزر چکا ہے۔1 تم اہلِ مَدیِن کے درمیان بھی موجود نہ تھے کہ اُن کو ہماری آیات سُنا رہے ہوتے،2 مگر (اُس وقت کی یہ خبریں) بھیجنے والے ہم ہیں

  1. یعنی تمہارے پاس اِن معلومات کے حصول کا براہِ راست کوئی ذریعہ نہیں تھا۔ آج جو تم ان واقعات کو دو ہزار برس سے زیادہ مدّت گزر جانے کے بعد اِس طرح بیان کر رہے ہو کہ گویا یہ سب تمہارا آنکھوں دیکھا حال ہے ، اس کی کوئی وجہ اس کے سوا نہیں ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی وحی کے ذریعہ سے تم کو یہ معلومات بہم پہنچائی جا رہی ہیں۔

  2. یعنی جب حضرت موسیٰؑ مدین پہنچے، اور جو کچھ وہاں ان کے ساتھ پیش آیا، اور دس سال گزار کر جب وہ وہاں سے روانہ ہوئے ، اسوقت تمہارا کہیں پتہ بھی نہ تھا۔ تم اس وقت مدین کی بستیوں میں وہ کام نہیں کر رہے تھے جو آج مکہ کی گلیوں میں کر رہے ہو۔ اُن واقعات کا ذکر تم کچھ اس بنا پر نہیں کر رہے ہو کہ یہ تمہارا عینی مشاہدہ ہے ، بلکہ یہ علم بھی تم کو ہماری وحی کے ذریعہ سے ہی  حاصل ہوا ہے۔

لیکن ہم نے پیدا کیں بہت سی نسلیں تو ان کے اوپر ایک لمبی عمر بیت گئی اور نہ ہی آپ ﷺ اہل مدین کے درمیان مقیم تھے کہ ان کو ہماری آیات پڑھ کر سناتے بلکہ یہ تو ہم ہیں (رسولوں کو) بھیجنے والے

Commentary

آیت 45 وَلٰکِنَّآ اَنْشَاْنَا قُرُوْنًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَیْہِمُ الْعُمُرُ ج ”اہل مکہ چونکہ نبوت اور رسالت کے تصورات سے ناواقف ہیں اس لیے وہ آپ ﷺ کے دعوائے رسالت پر حیرت کا اظہار کر رہے ہیں ‘ لیکن اگر وہ قرآن کی فراہم کردہ معلومات پر غور کریں تو ان پر اس کے ”من جانب اللہ“ ہونے کی حقیقت عقلی طور پر بھی واضح ہوجائے گی۔ ماضی کے واقعات کی تفصیلات جب آپ ﷺ ان کو سناتے ہیں تو یہ بات خود بخود ان کی سمجھ میں آ جانی چاہیے کہ یہ تمام معلومات اللہ تعالیٰ نے براہ راست بذریعہ وحی آپ ﷺ کو فراہم کی ہیں۔وَمَا کُنْتَ ثَاوِیًا فِیْٓ اَہْلِ مَدْیَنَ تَتْلُوْا عَلَیْہِمْ اٰیٰتِنَالا ”جب آپ ﷺ ان کو مدین میں موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پہنچنے اور شیخ مدین کے گھر میں ان کے قیام جیسے واقعات کی تفصیلات سنا رہے ہیں تو انہیں غور کرنا چاہیے کہ آپ ﷺ ان واقعات کے عینی شاہد تو نہیں تھے۔وَلٰکِنَّا کُنَّا مُرْسِلِیْنَ ”ہم جس کو چاہتے ہیں اپنا رسول بنا کر بھیجتے ہیں ‘ اور جس کو ہم اس منصب پر فائز کرتے ہیں اس کو غیب کی خبریں ‘ ماضی و مستقبل کے واقعات کے بارے میں معلومات بھی فراہم کرتے ہیں اور ہدایت کے لیے ضروری تعلیمات بھی دیتے ہیں۔
