  1. وَتَتَّخِذُوْنَاور تم بناتے ہو

  3. لَعَلَّكُمْشاید کہ تم
  4. تَخْلُدُوْنَتم ہمیشہ رہو گے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور بڑے بڑے قصر تعمیر کرتے ہو گویا تمہیں ہمیشہ رہنا ہے۔1

  1.  یعنی تمہاری دوسری قسم کی تعمیرات ایسی ہیں جو اگر چہ استعمال کے لیے ہیں ، مگر انکو شاندار، مزیَّن اور مستحکم بنانے میں تم اس طرح اپنی دولت، محنت اور قابلیتیں صرف کرتے ہو جیسے دنیا میں ہمیشہ رہنے کا سامان کر رہے ہو، جیسے تمہاری زندگی کا مقصد بس یہیں کے عیش کا اہتمام کرنا ہے اور اس کے ماوراء کوئی چیز نہیں ہے۔ جس کی تمہیں فکر ہو۔ اس سلسلے میں یہ بات ملحوظ خاطر رہنی چاہیے کہ بلا ضرورت یا ضرورت سے زیادہ شاندار عمارتیں بنانا کوئی منفرد فعلن ہیں ہے جس کا ظہور کسی قوم میں اس طرح ہو سکتا ہو کہ اس کی اور سب چیزیں تو ٹھیک  ہوں اور بس یہی ایک کام وہ غلط کرتی ہو۔ یہ صورت حال تو ایک قوم میں رونما ہی اس وقت ہوتی ہے جب ایک طرف اس میں دولت کی ریل پیل ہوتی اور دوسری طرف اس کے اندر نفس پرستی و مادہ پرستی کی شدت بڑھتے بڑھتے جنون کی حد کو پہنچ جاتی ہے۔ اورت یہ حالت جب کسی قوم میں پیدا ہوتی ہے تو اس کا سارا ہی نظام تمدن فاسد ہو جاتا ہے۔ حضرت ہود علیہ السلام نے اپنی قوم کی تعمیرات پر جو گرفت کی اس سے مقصود یہ نہیں تھا کہ ان کے نزدیک صرف یہ عمارتیں ہی بجائے خود قابل اعتراض تھیں ، بلکہ در اصل وہ بحیثیت مجموعی ان کے فساد تمدن و تہذیب پر گرفت کر رہے تھے اور ان عمارتوں کا ذکر انہوں نے اس حیثیت سے کیا تھا کہ سارے ملک میں ہر طرف یہ بڑے بڑے پھوڑے اس فساد کی نمایاں ترین علامت کے طور پر ابھرے نظر آتے تھے۔

اور تم بناتے ہو ایسے شاندار محل کہ شاید تمہیں ہمیشہ (ان میں) رہنا ہے

Commentary

آیت 129 وَتَتَّخِذُوْنَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّکُمْ تَخْلُدُوْنَ ”ایسی یادگاریں اور ایسے محلات تو بعد میں بھی قائم رہتے ہیں مگر انہیں بنانے والے باقی نہیں رہتے۔ جیسے غرناطہ اور قرطبہ کے محلاتّ تو اب بھی موجود ہیں مگر ان کے مکینوں کا آج کہیں نام و نشان نہیں۔ بہر حال ان محلات کو تعمیر کروانے والوں نے تو انہیں ایسے ہی بنایا تھا جیسے انہیں ہمیشہ ان میں رہنا ہے۔
