یاد کرو جبکہ اُن کے بھائی نوحؑ  نے ان سے کہا تھا”کیا تم ڈرتے نہیں ہو؟¹

    دوسرے مقامات پر حضرت نوحؑ کا اپنی قوم سے ابتدائی خطاب ان الفاظ میں آیا ہے : اُعْبُدُوا اللہَ مَا لَکُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰہٍ غَیْرُہٗ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ (المؤمنون آیت 23 ) ’’ اللہ کی بندگی کرو، اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے ، تو کیا تم ڈرتے نہیں ہو ‘‘؟  اُعْبُدُ و االلہَ وَا تَّقُوْہُ وَاَطِیْعُوْنِ ہ (نوح آیت 3)۔ ’’ اللہ کی بندگی کرو اور اس سے ڈرو اور میری اطاعت کرو۔‘‘ اس لیے یہاں حضرت نوحؑ کے اس ارشاد کا مطلب محض خوف نہیں بلکہ اللہ کا خوف ہے۔ یعنی کیا تم اللہ سے بے خوف ہو گئے ؟ اس کے سوا دوسروں کی بندگی کرتے ہوئے تم کچھ نہیں سوچتے کہ اس باغیانہ روش کا انجام کیا ہو گا؟ دعوت کے آغاز میں خوف دلانے کی حکمت یہ ہے کہ جب تک کسی شخص یا گروہ کو اس کے غلط رویے کی بد انجامی کا خطرہ نہ محسوس کرایا جائے ، وہ صحیح بات اور اس کے دلائل کی طرف توجہ کرنے پر آمادہ نہیں ہوتا۔ راہ راست کی تلاش آدمی کے دل میں پیدا ہی اس وقت ہوتی ہے جب اس کو یہ فکر دامن گیر ہو جاتی ہے کہ کہیں میں کسی ٹیڑھے راستے پر تو نہیں جا رہا ہوں جس میں ہلاکت کا اندیشہ ہو۔
