  1. اَلَمْکیا تم نے
  2. تَرَدیکھا نہیں
  3. اِلٰیکی طرف
  4. رَبِّكَاپنے رب
  5. كَیْفَکس طرح
  6. مَدَّاس نے پھیلا دیا
  7. الظِّلَّ ۚسائے کو
  8. وَلَوْاور اگر
  9. شَآءَوہ چاہتا
  10. لَجَعَلَهٗالبتہ کردیتا اس کو
  11. سَاكِنًا ۚٹھہرا ہوا
  12. ثُمَّپھر
  13. جَعَلْنَابنایا ہم نے
  14. الشَّمْسَسورج کو
  15. عَلَیْهِاس پر
  16. دَلِیْلًانشانی ۔ رہبر

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

تم نے دیکھا نہیں کہ تمہارا ربّ کس طرح سایہ پھیلا دیتا ہے؟ اگر وہ چاہتا تو اسے دائمی سایہ بنا دیتا۔ ہم نے سُورج کو اُس پر دلیل1 بنایا

  1.  یہاں لفظ دلیل ٹھیک اسی معنی میں استعمال ہوا ہے جس میں انگریزی لفظ (Pilot) استعمال ہوتا ہے ۔ ملاحوں کی اصطلاح میں دلیل اس شخص کو کہتے ہیں جو کشتیوں کو راست بتاتا ہوا چلے ۔ سائے پر سورج کو دلیل بنانے کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ سائے کا پھیلنا اور سکڑنا سورج کے عروج و زوال اور طلوع و غروب کا تابع ہے ۔ سائے سے مراد روشنی اور تاریکی کے بین بی وہ درمیانی حالت ہے جو صبح کے وقت طلوع آفتاب سے پہلے ہوتی ہے اور دن بھی مکانوں میں ، دیواروں کی اوٹ میں اور درختوں کے نیچے رہتی ہے ۔

کیا تم نے دیکھا نہیں اپنے رب (کی قدرت) کی طرف کہ وہ کس طرح سایہ پھیلا دیتا ہے اور اگر وہ چاہتا تو اس کو مستقل ٹھہرائے رکھتا پھر ہم نے سورج کو اس پر راہنما بنایا

Commentary

آیت 45 اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلٰی رَبِّکَ کَیْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ ج ”جب رات ہوتی ہے تو یوں لگتا ہے جیسے پوری زمین پر ایک سیاہ چادر اوڑھا دی گئی ہے۔وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَہٗ سَاکِنًا ج ”اگر اللہ تعالیٰ چاہتا تو پوری زمین پر ہمیشہ رات ہی رہتی ‘ دن کا اجالا کبھی نمودار ہی نہ ہوتا۔ جیسے کہ سورة القصص میں فرمایا گیا : قُلْ اَرَءَ یْتُمْ اِنْ جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ عَلَیْکُمُ الَّیْلَ سَرْمَدًا اِلٰی یَوْمِ الْقِیٰمَۃِ مَنْ اِلٰہٌ غَیْرُ اللّٰہِ یَاْتِیْکُمْ بِضِیَآءٍط اَفَلَا تَسْمَعُوْنَ ”اے نبی ﷺ ! ان لوگوں سے پوچھئے : کیا تم نے غور کیا کہ اگر اللہ روز قیامت تک ہمیشہ کے لیے تم پر رات طاری کر دے تو اللہ کے سوا وہ کون سا معبود ہے جو تمہیں روشنی لادے ؟ کیا تم سنتے نہیں ہو ؟“ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَیْہِ دَلِیْلًا ”تُعْرَفُ الْاَشْیَاءُ بِاَضْدَادِھَا چیزیں اپنی مخالف چیزوں سے پہچانی جاتی ہیں کے مصداق سورج کے وجود سے ہی ہمیں روشنی اور تاریکی کا پتاچلتا ہے۔
