Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

کیا تم سمجھتے ہو کہ ان میں سے اکثر لوگ سُنتے اور سمجھتے ہیں؟ یہ تو جانوروں کی طرح ہیں، بلکہ  اُن سے بھی گئے گُزرے۔ 1

  1. یعنی جس طرح بھیڑ بکریوں کو یہ پتہ نہیں ہوتا کہ ہانکنے والا انہیں چراگاہ کی طرف لے جا رہا ہے یا بوچڑ کانے کی طرف ۔ وہ بس آنکھیں بند کر کے ہانکنے والے اشاروں پر چلتی رہتی ہیں ۔ اسی طرح یہ عوام الناس بھی اپنے شیطان نفس اور اپنے گمراہ کن لیڈروں کے اشاروں پر آنکھیں بند کیے چلے جار ہے ہیں ، کچھ نہیں جانتے کہ وہ انہیں فلاح کی طرف ہانک رہے ہیں یا تباہی و بر بادی کی طرف ۔ اس حد تک تو ان کی حالت بھیڑ بکریوں کے مشابہ ہے ۔ لیکن بھیڑ بکریوں کو خدا نے عقل و شعور سے نہیں نوازا ہے ۔ وہ اگر چرواہے اور قصائی میں امتیاز نہیں کرتیں تو کچھ عیب نہیں ۔ البتہ حیف ہے ان انسانوں پر جو خدا سے عقل و شعور کی نعمتیں پاکر بھی اپنے آپ کو بھیڑ بکریوں کی سی غفلت و بے شعوری میں مبتلا کر لیں ۔ کوئی شخص یہ خیال نہ کرے کہ اس تقریر کا منشا تبلیغ کو لا حاصل قرار دینا ہے ، اور نبی صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کو خطاب کر کے یہ باتیں اس لیے فرمائی جا رہی ہیں کہ لوگوں کو سمجھانے کی فضول کوشش چھوڑ  دیں ۔ نہیں ، اس تقریر کے اصل مخاطب سامعین ہی میں ، اگر چہ روئے سخن بظاہر نبی صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کی طرف ہے ۔ دراصل سنانا ان کو مقصود ہے کہ غافلہ ، یہ کس حال میں پڑے ہوئے ہو۔ کیا خدا نے تمہیں سمجھ بوجھ اس لیے دی تھی کہ دنیا میں جانوروں کی طرح زندگی بسر کرو؟

یا آپ ﷺ کا خیال ہے کہ ان میں سے اکثر سنتے اور سمجھتے ہیں یہ نہیں ہیں مگر چوپایوں کی مانند بلکہ ان سے بڑھ کر بھٹکے ہوئے ہیں

Commentary

آیت 44 اَمْ تَحْسَبُ اَنَّ اَکْثَرَہُمْ یَسْمَعُوْنَ اَوْ یَعْقِلُوْنَ ط ”یہ لوگ آپ ﷺ کی محفل میں کچھ سننے اور سمجھنے کے لیے نہیں آتے بلکہ یہ تو اپنے عوام کو دھوکا دینے کے لیے آتے ہیں تاکہ واپس جا کر انہیں بتاسکیں کہ ہم تو بڑے اہتمام کے ساتھ گئے تھے کہ محمد ﷺ کی باتوں کو خود سنیں اور سمجھیں لیکن ان سے تو ہمیں کوئی خاص بات سننے کو ملی ہی نہیں۔اِنْ ہُمْ اِلَّا کَالْاَنْعَامِ بَلْ ہُمْ اَضَلُّ سَبِیْلًا ”چوپائے تو کسی کلام کے مفہوم کو سمجھنے سے اس لیے معذور ہیں کہ ان کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس سطح کا شعور ہی نہیں دیا ‘ لیکن یہ لوگ انسان ہو کر بھی عقل اور شعور سے کام نہیں لیتے۔ اس لحاظ سے یہ لوگ چوپایوں اور جانوروں سے بھی گئے گزرے ہیں۔
