- وَالَّذِیْنَاور وہ لوگ
- كَفَرُوْۤاجنہوں نے کفر کیا
- اَعْمَالُهُمْاعمال ان کے
- كَسَرَابٍۭمانند سراب کے ہیں
- بِقِیْعَةٍایک چٹیل میدان میں
- یَّحْسَبُهُسمجھتا ہے اس کو
- الظَّمْاٰنُپیاسا
- مَآءً ؕپانی
- حَتّٰۤییہاں تک کہ
- اِذَاجب
- جَآءَهٗآتا ہے اس کے پاس
- لَمْنہیں
- یَجِدْهُپاتا اس کو
- شَیْـًٔاکچھ بھی
- وَّوَجَدَاور پاتا ہے
- اللّٰهَاللہ کو
- عِنْدَهٗاس کے پاس
- فَوَفّٰىهُپھر پورا پورا دیتا ہے اس کو
- حِسَابَهٗ ؕاس کا حساب
- وَاللّٰهُاور اللہ
- سَرِیْعُجلد لینے والا ہے

اور جو کافر ہیں ان کے اعمال ایسے ہیں جیسے سراب کسی چٹیل میدان میں پیاسا اسے پانی سمجھتا ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ جب اس کے پاس آیا تو اس نے وہاں کچھ نہ پایا البتہ اس نے اس کے پاس اللہ کو پایا تو اس نے پورا پورا چکا دیا اسے اس کا حساب اور اللہ بہت جلد حساب لینے والا ہے

Commentary
وَاللّٰہُ سَرِیْعُ الْحِسَابِ ”یعنی اگر کسی شخص کا دل حقیقی ایمان سے محروم ہے تو خدمت خلق کے میدان میں اس کے کارناموں اور دوسرے نیک کاموں کی اللہ کے نزدیک کوئی وقعت نہیں۔ ایسی نیکیاں تو گویا سراب دھوکہ ہیں۔ جیسے صحرا میں ایک پیاسا شخص سراب چمکتی ہوئی ریت کو پانی سمجھتا ہے اسی طرح یہ لوگ بھی اپنے اعمال کو نیکیوں کا ڈھیرسمجھتے ہیں ‘ لیکن روز حساب ان پر اچانک یہ حقیقت کھلے گی کہ ان کا کوئی عمل بھی اللہ کے ہاں شرف قبولیت نہیں پاسکا۔ سورة ابراہیم کی آیت 18 میں ایسے لوگوں کے اعمال کو راکھ کے اس ڈھیر سے تشبیہہ دی گئی ہے جو تیز آندھی کی زد میں ہو۔ اس سلسلے کی دوسری مثال ان لوگوں کے بارے میں ہے جن کی زندگیاں ایسی جھوٹ موٹ کی نیکیوں سے بھی خالی ہیں اور ان کے باطن سرا سر شہوات نفس اور دنیا پرستی کی گندگی سے بھرے پڑے ہیں :
