- وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْاور البتہ تم ضرور پاؤ گے ان کو
- اَحْرَصَحریص ترین
- النَّاسِلوگوں میں سے
- عَلٰیاوپر
- حَیٰوةٍ ۛۚزندگی گے / زندہ رہنے کے
- وَمِنَاورمیں سے
- الَّذِیْنَان لوگوں کے
- اَشْرَكُوْا ۛۚجنہوں نے شرک کیا
- یَوَدُّدل سے چاہتا ہے
- اَحَدُهُمْہر ایک ان کا
- لَوْکاش
- یُعَمَّرُوہ عمر دے دیا جائے

- سَنَةٍ ۚسال
- وَمَااورجو
- هُوَوہ
- بِمُزَحْزِحِهٖبچانے والی اس کو

Bayan-ul-Quran
اور تم انہیں پاؤ گے تمام انسانوں سے زیادہ حریص اس (دنیا کی) زندگی پر حتیٰ کہ مشرکوں سے بھی زیادہ حریص ان میں سے ہر ایک کی یہ خواہش ہے کہ کسی طرح اس کی عمر ہزار برس ہوجائے حالانکہ نہیں ہے اس کو بچانے والا عذاب سے اس قدر جینا) اور اللہ دیکھ رہا ہے جو کچھ یہ کر رہے ہیں

Commentary
آیت 96 وَلَتَجِدَنَّہُمْ اَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلٰی حَیٰوۃٍ ج وَمِنَ الَّذِیْنَ اَشْرَکُوْا ج۔ یہ اس معاملے میں مشرکوں سے بھی بڑھے ہوئے ہیں۔ مشرکین نے اہل ایمان کے ساتھ مقابلہ کیا تو کھل کر کیا ‘ میدان میں آکر ڈٹ کر کیا ‘ اپنی جانیں اپنے باطل معبودوں کے لیے قربان کیں ‘ جبکہ یہودیوں میں یہ ہمت و جرأت قطعاً نہیں تھی کہ وہ جان ہتھیلی پر رکھ کر میدان میں آسکیں۔ ان کے بارے میں سورة الحشر میں الفاظ وارد ہوئے ہیں : لَا یُقَاتِلُوْنَکُمْ جَمِیْعًا الاَّ فِیْ قُرًی مُّحَصَّنَۃٍ اَوْ مِنْ وَّرَآءِ جُدُرٍ ط آیت 14 یہ سب مل کر بھی تم سے جنگ نہ کرسکیں گے مگر قلعہ بند بستیوں میں یا دیواروں کی اوٹ سے۔ چناچہ یہودک بھی بھی سامنے آکر مسلمانوں کا مقابلہ نہیں کرسکے۔ اس لیے کہ انہیں اپنی جانیں بہت عزیزتھیں۔یَوَدُّ اَحَدُہُمْ لَوْ یُعَمَّرُ اَلْفَ سَنَۃٍ ج۔ وَمَا ہُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِہٖ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ اَنْ یُّعَمَّرَ ط۔ اگر ان کو ان کی خواہش کے مطابق طویل زندگی دے بھی دی جائے تو یہ انہیں عذاب سے تو چھٹکارا نہیں دلا سکے گی۔ آخرت تو بالآخر آنی ہے اور انہیں ان کے کرتوتوں کی سزا مل کر رہنی ہے۔وَاللّٰہُ بَصِیْرٌم بِمَا یَعْمَلُوْنَ
