Surah 2, ayah 118

  1. وَقَالَاور کہا
  2. الَّذِیْنَان لوگوں نے
  3. لَانہیں
  4. یَعْلَمُوْنَعلم رکھتے
  5. لَوْلَاکیوں نہیں
  6. یُكَلِّمُنَاکلام کرتا ہے
  7. اللّٰهُاللہ
  8. اَوْیا
  9. تَاْتِیْنَاۤآتی ہمارے پاس
  10. اٰیَةٌ ؕکوئی نشانی
  11. كَذٰلِكَاسی طرح
  12. قَالَکہا تھا
  13. الَّذِیْنَان لوگوں نے
  14. مِنْسے
  15. قَبْلِهِمْقبل ان کے
  16. مِّثْلَمانند
  17. قَوْلِهِمْ ؕان کی بات کے
  18. تَشَابَهَتْملتے جلتے ہیں
  19. قُلُوْبُهُمْ ؕدل ان کے
  20. قَدْتحقیق
  21. بَیَّنَّابیان کردیں ہم نے
  22. الْاٰیٰتِآیات
  23. لِقَوْمٍواسطے ایک قوم
  24. یُّوْقِنُوْنَجو یقین رکھتی ہے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

نادان کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ خود ہم سے بات کیوں نہیں کرتایا کوئی نشانی ہمارے پاس کیوں نہیں آتی؟1 ایسی ہی باتیں ان سے پہلے لوگ بھی کیا کرتے تھے۔ ان سب (اگلے پچھلے گمراہوں ) کی ذہنیتیں ایک جیسی ہیں۔2 یقین لانے والو ں کے لیے تو ہم نشانیاں صاف صاف نمایاں کر چکے ہیں۔3

  1. اُن کا مطلب یہ تھا کہ خدا، یا تو خود ہمارے سامنے آکر کہے کہ یہ میری کتاب ہے اور یہ میرے احکام ہیں، تم لوگ ان کی پیروی کرو ، یا پھر ہمیں کوئی ایسی نشانی دکھائی جائے ، جس سے ہمیں یقین آجائے کہ محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جو کچھ کہہ رہے ہیں وہ خدا کی طرف سے ہے۔

  2. یعنی آج کے گمراہوں نے کو ئی اعتراض اور کوئی مطالبہ ایسا نہیں گھڑا ہے، جو ان سے پہلے کے گمراہ پیش نہ کر چکے ہوں۔ قدیم زمانے سے آج تک گمراہی کا ایک ہی مزاج ہے اور وہ بار بار ایک ہی قسم کے شہبات اور اعتراضات اور سوالات دُہراتی رہتی ہے۔

  3. یہ  بات کہ خدا خود آکر ہم سے بات کیوں نہیں کرتا، اس قدر مہمل تھی کہ اس کا جواب دینے کی حاجت نہ تھی۔ جواب صرف اس بات کا دیا گیا ہے کہ ہمیں نشانی کیوں نہیں دکھائی جاتی۔ اور جواب یہ ہے کہ نشانیاں تو بے شمار موجود ہیں ، مگر جو جاننا چاہتا ہی نہ ہو ، اسے آخر کونسی نشانی دکھائی جا سکتی ہے۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور کہا ان لوگوں نے جو علم نہیں رکھتے کیوں نہیں بات کرتا ہم سے اللہ یا کیوں نہیں آجاتی ہمارے پاس کوئی نشانی ؟ اسی طرح کی باتیں جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے وہ بھی کہتے رہے ہیں ان کے دل ایک دوسرے سے مشابہ ہوگئے ہیں ہم تو اپنی آیات واضح کرچکے ہیں ان لوگوں کے لیے جو یقین کرنا چاہیں

Commentary

آیت 118 وَقَالَ الَّذِیْنَ لاَ یَعْلَمُوْنَ یہاں پر مشرکین مکہ کی طرف روئے سخن ہے۔لَوْلاَ یُکَلِّمُنَا اللّٰہُ اَوْ تَاْتِیْنَآ اٰیَۃٌ ط مشرکین مکہ کا رسول اللہ ﷺ سے بڑی شدتّ کے ساتھ یہ مطالبہ تھا کہ آپ کوئی ایسے معجزات ہی دکھا دیں جیسے آپ کہتے ہیں کہ عیسیٰ علیہ السلام نے دکھائے تھے یا موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے دکھائے تھے۔ اگر آپ ہمارے یہ مطالبے پورے کردیں تو ہم آپ کو اللہ کا رسول مان لیں گے۔ یہ مضمون تفصیل کے ساتھ سورة الانعام میں اور پھر سورة بنی اسرائیل میں آئے گا۔ کَذٰلِکَ قَالَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِہِمْ مِّثْلَ قَوْلِہِمْ ط تَشَابَہَتْ قُلُوْبُہُمْ ط قَدْ بَیَّنَّا الْاٰیٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یُّوْقِنُوْنَ
