Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
اور اس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم کو ن ہو گا جو اللہ کے معبدوں میں اس کے نام کی یاد سے روکے اور ان کی ویرانی کے در پے ہو؟ ایسے لوگ اس قابل ہیں کہ ان عبادت گاہوں میں قدم نہ رکھیں اور اگر وہاں جائیں بھی تو ڈرتے ہوئے جائیں1۔ ان کے لیے تو دنیا میں رسوائی ہےاور آخرت میں عذاب عظیم

یعنی بجائے اس کے کہ عبادت گاہیں اس قسم کے ظالم لوگوں کے قبضہ و اقتدار میں ہوں اور یہ اُن کے متولّی ہوں، ہونا یہ چاہیے کہ خدا پرست اور خدا ترس لوگوں کے ہاتھ میں اقتدار ہو اور وہی عبادت گاہوں کے متولّی رہیں، تاکہ یہ شریر لوگ اگر وہاں جائیں بھی ، تو انہیں خوف ہو کہ شرارت کریں گے تو سزا پائیں گے۔۔۔۔ یہاں ایک لطیف اشارہ کفارِ مکّہ کے اِس ظلم کی طرف بھی ہے کہ انہوں نے اپنی قوم کے اُن لوگوں کو جو اسلام لا چکے تھے، بیت اللہ میں عبادت کرنے سے روک دیا تھا۔
