- وَمَنْاور کون
- اَظْلَمُبڑا ظالم ہے
- مِمَّنْاس سے جو
- ذُكِّرَنصیحت کیا گیا
- بِاٰیٰتِآیات کے
- رَبِّهٖاپنے رب کی
- فَاَعْرَضَذریعے پھر اسنے اعراض برتا
- عَنْهَااس سے
- وَنَسِیَاور بھول گیا
- مَاجو
- قَدَّمَتْآگے بھیجا
- یَدٰهُ ؕاس کے دونوں ہاتھوں نے
- اِنَّابیشک ہم نے
- جَعَلْنَا، بنائے ہم نے
- عَلٰیپر
- قُلُوْبِهِمْان کے دلوں (پر)
- اَكِنَّةًغلاف
- اَنْکہ
- یَّفْقَهُوْهُسمجھ سکیں وہ اس کو
- وَفِیْۤاور ان کے
- اٰذَانِهِمْکانوں میں
- وَقْرًا ؕبوجھ کو
- وَاِنْاور اگر
- تَدْعُهُمْتم پکارو/ بلاؤ ان کو
- اِلَیطرف
- الْهُدٰیہدایت کی
- فَلَنْتو ہرگزنہ
- یَّهْتَدُوْۤاہدایت پائیں گے
- اِذًاتب
- اَبَدًاکبھی بھی

Translation and commentary
Bayan-ul-Quran
اور اس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جسے نصیحت کی گئی ہو اس کے رب کی آیات کے ذریعے تو اس نے اعراض کیا ان سے اور وہ بھول گیا کہ کیا آگے بھیجا ہے اس کے دونوں ہاتھوں نے یقیناً ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر پردے ڈال دیے ہیں کہ وہ اس (قرآن) کو سمجھ نہ پائیں اور ان کے کانوں میں بوجھ (ڈال دیا ہے) اور اگرچہ آپ بلائیں انہیں ہدایت کی طرف تب بھی وہ کبھی ہدایت نہیں پائیں گے

Commentary
آیت 57 وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ ذُكِّرَ بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهٖ فَاَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا وَنَسِيَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدٰهُ بجائے ایمان لانے کے اور اپنے سابقہ گناہوں سے توبہ کرنے کے اس نے اللہ کی آیات سے روگردانی کی روش اپنائے رکھی۔ اس ضد اور ہٹ دھرمی میں وہ اپنے اعمال کے اس جھاڑ جھنکاڑ کو بھی بھول گیا جو اس نے اپنی آخرت کے لیے تیار کر رکھا تھا۔اِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلٰي قُلُوْبِهِمْ اَكِنَّةً اَنْ يَّفْقَهُوْهُ وَفِيْٓ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًایہ مضمون سورة بنی اسرائیل میں اس طرح آچکا ہے : وَاِذَا قَرَاْتَ الْقُرْاٰنَ جَعَلْنَا بَیْنَکَ وَبَیْنَ الَّذِیْنَ لاَ یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بالْاٰخِرَۃِ حِجَابًا مَّسْتُوْرًا ”اور جب آپ قرآن پڑھتے ہیں تو ہم آپ کے اور آخرت پر ایمان نہ رکھنے والے لوگوں کے درمیان پردہ حائل کردیتے ہیں۔“وَاِنْ تَدْعُهُمْ اِلَى الْهُدٰى فَلَنْ يَّهْتَدُوْٓا اِذًا اَبَدًاکیونکہ حق واضح ہوجانے بعد ان کی مسلسل ہٹ دھرمی کے سبب ان کے دلوں پر مہریں لگ چکی ہیں اور اس طرح وہ اللہ کے قانون ہدایت و ضلالت کی آخری دفعہ کی زد میں آ چکے ہیں جس کے تحت جان بوجھ کر حق سے اعراض کرنے والے کو ہمیشہ کے لیے ہدایت سے محروم کردیا جاتا ہے۔
