  1. وَمَااور نہیں
  2. نُرْسِلُہم بھیجتے
  3. الْمُرْسَلِیْنَرسولوں کو
  4. اِلَّامگر
  5. مُبَشِّرِیْنَخوش خبری دینے والے
  6. وَمُنْذِرِیْنَ ۚاور ڈرانے والے
  7. وَیُجَادِلُاور جھگڑتے ہیں
  8. الَّذِیْنَوہ لوگ
  9. كَفَرُوْاجنہوں نے کفر کیا
  10. بِالْبَاطِلِساتھ باطل کے
  11. لِیُدْحِضُوْاتاکہ زائل کردیں/ پھسلا دیں
  12. بِهِساتھ اس کے
  13. الْحَقَّحق کو
  14. وَاتَّخَذُوْۤااور انہوں نے بنالیا
  15. اٰیٰتِیْمیری آیات کو
  16. وَمَاۤاور جس سے
  17. اُنْذِرُوْاوہ ڈرائے گئے
  18. هُزُوًامذاق

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

رسُولوں کو ہم اس کا م کے سوا اور کسی غرض کے لیے نہیں بھیجتے کہ وہ بشارت اور تنبیہ کی خدمت انجام دیں گے۔1 مگر کافروں کا حال یہ ہےکہ وہ باطل کے ہتھیار لے کر حق کو نیچا دکھانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں اور اُنہوں نے میری آیات کو اور اُن تنبیہات کو جو انہیں کی گئیں مذاق بنا لیا ہے

  1.  اس آیت کے بھی دو مطلب ہو سکتے ہیں اور دونوں ہی یہاں چسپاں ہوتے ہیں : ایک یہ کہ رسولوں کو ہم اسی لیے بیجتے ہیں کہ فیصلے کا وقت آنے سے پہلے لوگوں کو فرماں برداری کے اچھے اور نافرمانی کے برے انجام سے خبر دار کریں۔ مگر یہ بے وقوف لوگ ان پیشگی تنبیہات سے کوئی فائدہ نہیں اُٹھاتے اور اسی انجام بد کو دیکھنے پر مصر ہیں جس سے رسول انہیں بچانا چاہتے ہیں۔ دوسرا مطلب یہ ہے کہ اگر ان کو عذاب ہی دیکھنا منظور ہے تو پیغمبر سے اس کا مطالبہ نہ کریں کیونکہ پیغمبر عذاب دینے کے لیے نہیں بلکہ عذاب سے پہلے صرف خبردار کرنے کے لیے بھیجے جاتے ہیں۔

اور ہم نہیں بھیجتے رسولوں کو مگر خوشخبری دینے والے اور خبردار کرنے والے (بنا کر) اور یہ کافر لوگ جھگڑتے ہیں جھوٹ کی طرف سے تاکہ بچلا دیں اس کے ساتھ حق کو اور انہوں نے میری آیات کو اور (اس چیز کو) جس کے ساتھ انہیں خبردار کیا گیا تھا مذاق بنا لیا ہے

Commentary

آیت 56 وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ اِلَّا مُبَشِّرِيْنَ وَمُنْذِرِيْنَ یہ مضمون جو یہاں سب رسولوں کے متعلق جمع کے صیغے میں آیا ہے سورة بنی اسرائیل میں حضور کے لیے صیغۂ واحد میں یوں آیا ہے : وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنٰکَ الاَّ مُبَشِّرًا وَّنَذِیْرًا ”اور اے محمد ! ہم نے نہیں بھیجا آپ کو مگر مبشر اور نذیر بنا کر۔“وَيُجَادِلُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوْا بِهِ الْحَقَّ یہ لوگ باطل کے ساتھ کھڑے ہو کر حق کو شکست دینے کے لیے مناظرے اور کٹ حجتیاں کر رہے ہیں۔
