  5. یُّؤْمِنُوْۤاوہ ایمان لائیں

  7. جَآءَهُمُآئی ان کے پاس
  8. الْهُدٰیہدایت
  9. وَیَسْتَغْفِرُوْااور بخشش مانگیں
  10. رَبَّهُمْاپنے رب سے
  11. اِلَّاۤمگر
  12. اَنْیہ کہ
  13. تَاْتِیَهُمْآجائے ان کے پاس
  14. سُنَّةُطریقہ
  15. الْاَوَّلِیْنَپہلوں کا
  16. اَوْیا
  17. یَاْتِیَهُمُآئے ان کے پاس
  18. الْعَذَابُعذاب
  19. قُبُلًاسامنے سے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اُن کے سامنے جب ہدایت آئی تو اسے ماننے اور اپنے ربّ کے حضور معافی چاہنے سے آخر اُن کو کس چیز نے روک دیا ؟ اِس کے سوا اور کچھ نہیں کہ وہ منتظر ہیں کہ اُن کے ساتھ بھی وہی کچھ ہو جو پچھلی قوموں کےساتھ ہو چکا ہے، یا یہ کہ وہ عذاب کو سامنے آتے دیکھ لیں!1

  1. یعنی جہاں تک دلیل و حجت کا تعلق ہے، قرآن نے حق واضح کرنے میں کوئی کسر اٹھا نہیں رکھی ہے۔ دل اور دماغ کو اپیل کرنے کے جتنے موٴثر طریقے اختیار کرنے ممکن تھے، وہ سب بہترین انداز میں یہاں اختیار کئے جا چکے ہیں۔ اب وہ کیا چیز ہے جو انہیں قبول حق میں مانع ہورہی ہے؟ صرف یہ کہ انہیں عذاب کا انتظار ہے۔ جوتے کھائے بغیر سیدھے نہیں ہونا چاہتے۔

اور نہیں روکا لوگوں کو (کسی چیز نے) جب ان کے پاس ہدایت آگئی کہ وہ ایمان لائیں اور اپنے رب سے مغفرت مانگیں مگر یہ کہ ان سے پہلوں کا طریق برتا جائے یا عذاب ان کے سامنے آموجود ہو

Commentary

آیت 55 وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ اَنْ يُّؤْمِنُوْٓا اِذْ جَاۗءَهُمُ الْهُدٰى وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوْا رَبَّهُمْ اس آیت کی مشابہت سورة بنی اسرائیل کی آیت 94 کے ساتھ ہے۔ دونوں آیات کے پہلے حصوں کے الفاظ ہو بہو ایک جیسے ہیں۔اِلَّآ اَنْ تَاْتِيَهُمْ سُنَّةُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ یہ لوگ جو ہدایت آجانے کے بعد بھی ایمان نہیں لا رہے اور اللہ کے حضور استغفار نہیں کر رہے ہیں تو اس کی وجہ سوائے اس کے اور کچھ نہیں کہ ان کے لیے بھی پہلی قوموں کا سا انجام لکھا جا چکا ہے۔
