  1. وَاِذِاور جب
  2. اعْتَزَلْتُمُوْهُمْچھوڑ دیا تم نے ان کو
  3. وَمَااور جن کی
  4. یَعْبُدُوْنَعبادت کررہے ہیں
  5. اِلَّاسوائے
  6. اللّٰهَاللہ کے
  7. فَاْوٗۤاپس پناہ لو
  8. اِلَیطرف
  9. الْكَهْفِغار کی
  10. یَنْشُرْنچھاور کرے گا/ پھیلائے گا
  11. لَكُمْتمہارے لیے
  12. رَبُّكُمْرب تمہارا
  13. مِّنْمیں سے
  14. رَّحْمَتِهٖاپنی رحمت
  15. وَیُهَیِّئْاور مہیا کرے گا
  16. لَكُمْتمہارے لئے
  17. مِّنْسے
  18. اَمْرِكُمْتمہارے معاملے میں (سے)
  19. مِّرْفَقًاسہولت کا سامان

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اب جبکہ تم ان سے اور ان کے معبُودانِ غیراللہ سے بے تعلق ہو چکے ہو تو چلو اب فلاں غار میں چل کر پناہ لو۔1 تمہارا ربّ تم پر اپنی رحمت کا دامن وسیع کرے گا اور تمہارے کام کےلیے سروسامان مہیّا کر دے گا۔“

  1.  جس زمانے میں ان خدا پرست نوجوانوں کو آبادیوں سے بھاگ کر پہاڑوں میں پناہ لینی پڑی تھی اس وقت شہر اِفسُس ایشیائے کو چک میں بُت پرسی اور جادو گری کا سب سے بڑا مرکز تھا۔ وہاں ڈائنا دیوں کا ایک عظیم الشان مندر تھا جس کی شہرت تمام دنیا میں پھیلی ہوئی تھی اور دور دور سے لوگ اس کی پوجا کے لیے آتے تھے۔ وہاں کے جادو گر، عامل ، فال گیر اور تعویذ نوید دنیا بھی میں مشہور تھے۔ شام و فلسطین اور مصر تک ان کا کاروبار چلتا تھا اور اس کاروبار میں یہودیوں کا بھی اچھا خاصا حصہ تھا جو اپنے فن کو حضرت سلیمانؑ کی طرف منسوب کرتے تھے (ملاحظہ ہو سائیکلو پیڈیا آف ببلیکل لٹریچر عنوان Ephesus شرد اور اوہام پرستی کے اس ماحول میں خدا پرستوں کا جو حال ہو رہا تھا اس کا اندازہ اصحاب کہف کے اس فقرے سے کیا جا سکتا ہے ، جو اگلے رکوع میں آ رہا ہے ، کہ ’’ اگر ان کا ہاتھ ہم پر پڑ گیا تو بس ہمیں سنگسار ہی کر ڈالیں گے یا پھر زبردستی اپنی ملت میں واپس لے جائیں گے۔
