Tafheem-ul-Quran

وہ کہ دنیا کہ زندگی میں جن کی ساری سعی و جہد راہِ راست سے بھٹکی رہی1 اور وہ سمجھتے رہے کہ وہ سب کچھ ٹھیک کر رہے ہیں

  1.  اس آیت کے دو مطلب ہو سکتے ہیں۔ ایک وہ جو ہم نے ترجمے میں اختیار کیا ہے۔ اور دوسرا یہ کہ ’’ جن کی ساری سعی و جہد دنیا کی زندگی ہی میں گم ہو کر رہ گئی‘‘۔ یعنی انہوں نے جو کچ بھی کیا خدا سے بے نیاز اور اور آخرت سے بے فکر ہو کر صرف دنیا کے لیے کیا۔ دنیوی زندگی ہی کو اصل زندگی سمجھا۔ دنیا کی کامیابیوں اور خوشحالیوں ہی کو اپنا مقصود بنا یا۔ خدا کی ہستی کے اگر قائل ہوئے بھی تو اس بات کی کبھی فکر نہ کی کہ اس کی رضا کیا ہے اور ہمیں کبھی اس کے حضور جا کر اپنے اعمال کا حساب بھی دینا ہے۔ اپنے آپ کو محض ایک خود مختار و غیر ذمہ دار حیوان عاقل سمجھتے رہے جس کے لیے دنیا کی اس چراگاہ سے تمتع کے سوا اور کوئی کام نہیں ہے۔
