  1. وَاِذَااور جب
  2. مَسَّكُمُچھو جاتی ہے تم کو
  3. الضُّرُّتکلیف
  4. فِیمیں
  5. الْبَحْرِسمندر
  6. ضَلَّگم ہوجاتے ہیں
  7. مَنْجن کو
  8. تَدْعُوْنَتم پکارتے ہو
  9. اِلَّاۤسوائے
  10. اِیَّاهُ ۚصرف اس کے
  11. فَلَمَّاتو جب
  12. نَجّٰىكُمْوہ نجات دیتا ہے تم کو
  13. اِلَیطرف
  14. الْبَرِّخشکی کی
  15. اَعْرَضْتُمْ ؕتو تم منہ موڑ جاتے ہو
  16. وَكَانَاور ہے
  17. الْاِنْسَانُانسان
  18. كَفُوْرًابڑا ناشکرا

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

جب سمندر میں تم پر مصیبت آتی ہے تو اُس ایک کے سوا دُوسرے جن جن کو تم پکارا کرتے ہو وہ سب گُم ہوجاتے ہیں1، مگر جب وہ تم کو بچا کر خشکی پر پہنچا دیتا ہے تو تم اُس سے منہ موڑ جاتے ہو۔ انسان واقعی بڑا ناشکرا ہے

  1. یعنی اس بات کی دلیل ہے کہ تمہاری اصلی فطرت ایک خدا کے سوا کسی رب کو نہیں جانتی، اور تمہارے اپنے دل کی گہرائیوں میں  یہ شعور موجود ہے  کہ نفع و نقصان کے  حقیقی اختیارات کا مالک بس وہی  ایک ہے ۔ ورنہ آخر اس کی وجہ کیا ہے کہ جو اصل وقت دستگیری کا ہے اُس وقت تم کو ایک خدا کے سوا کوئی دوسرا دستگیر نہیں سوجھتا؟
