ہم خوب جانتے ہیں جس غرض سے وہ توجہ سے سنتے ہیں اس (قرآن) کو جب وہ کان لگائے بیٹھے ہوتے ہیں آپ کی طرف اور جب وہ علیحدگی میں سرگوشیاں کرتے ہیں جب یہ ظالم (ایک دوسرے سے) کہہ رہے ہوتے ہیں کہ تم نہیں پیروی کر رہے ہو مگر ایک سحر زدہ شخص کی

Commentary
آیت 47 نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَسْتَمِعُوْنَ بِهٖٓ اِذْ يَسْتَمِعُوْنَ اِلَيْكَ قریش مکہ کی اس چال کا ذکر پہلے بھی ہوچکا ہے۔ ان کے بعض بڑے سردار اپنے عوام کو دھوکا دینے کے لیے رسول اللہ کی مجلس میں آتے اور بظاہر بڑے انہماک سے سب کچھ سنتے۔ پھر واپس جا کر کہتے کہ لو جی ہم تو بڑے خلوص اور اشتیاق کے ساتھ گئے تھے محمد کی محفل میں کہ وہ جو کلام پیش کرتے ہیں اس کو سنیں اور سمجھیں مگر افسوس کہ ہمیں تو وہاں سے کچھ بھی حاصل نہیں ہوا۔ اس طرح وہ کوشش کرتے کہ ان کے عوام بھی ان کے ہم نوا بن جائیں اور ان میں بھی یہ سوچ عام ہوجائے کہ یہ بڑے بڑے سردار آخر سمجھدار ہیں بات کی تہہ تک پہنچنے کی صلاحیت رکھتے ہیں محمد کی بات سننے اور سمجھنے کے لیے مخلص بھی ہیں اور اسی اخلاص میں وہ خصوصی طور پر آپ کی مجلس میں بھی جاتے ہیں۔ اگر اس نئے کلام میں کوئی خاص بات ہوتی تو وہ ضرور ان کی سمجھ میں آجاتی۔ اب جب یہ لوگ وہاں جا کر اور اس کلام کو سن کر کہہ رہے ہیں کہ اس میں کچھ بھی خاص بات نہیں ہے تو یقیناً یہ لوگ سچ ہی کہہ رہے ہیں۔وَاِذْ هُمْ نَجْوٰٓى اِذْ يَقُوْلُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ اِنْ تَتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُوْرًاان میں سے کسی کے دل پر جب قرآن کی کوئی آیت اثر کرتی ہے اور وہ اس کا اظہار اپنے ساتھیوں کے ساتھ کرتا ہے کہ ہاں بھئی محمد نے آج جو فلاں بات کی ہے اس میں بہت وزن ہے اس پر ہمیں سنجیدگی سے غور کرنا چاہیے تو ایسی صورت میں وہ فوراً اس کا توڑ کرنے کے لیے اپنے اس ساتھی کو سمجھانا شروع کردیتے ہیں کہ جی چھوڑو ! تم کہاں ایک سحر زدہ آدمی کے پیچھے چل پڑے۔ ان کی باتوں پر کوئی سنجیدہ توجہ دینے کی ضرورت نہیں۔
