  1. یٰقَوْمِاے میری قوم
  2. لَاۤنہیں
  3. اَسْـَٔلُكُمْمیں سوال کرتا تم سے
  4. عَلَیْهِاس پر
  5. اَجْرًا ؕکسی اجر کا
  6. اِنْنہیں
  7. اَجْرِیَاجر میرا
  8. اِلَّامگر
  9. عَلَیاس
  10. الَّذِیْذات کے ذمہ
  11. فَطَرَنِیْ ؕجس نے پیدا کیا مجھ کو
  12. اَفَلَاکیا پھر نہیں
  13. تَعْقِلُوْنَتم عقل سے کام لیتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اے برادرانِ قوم، اس کام پر میں تم سے کوئی اجر نہیں چاہتا، میرا اجر تو اس کے ذمّہ ہے جس نے مجھے پیدا کیا ہے، کیا تم عقل سے ذرا کام نہیں لیتے؟1

  1.  یہ نہایت بلیغ فقرہ ہے کہ جس میں ایک بڑا استدلال سمیٹ دیا گیا ہے۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ میری بات کو جس طرح سرسری طور پر تم نظر انداز کر رہے ہو اور اس  پر سنجیدگی سے غور نہیں کرتے یہ اس بات کی دلیل ہے کہ تم لوگ عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے۔ ورنہ اگر تم عقل سے کام لینےوالے ہوتے تو ضرور سوچتے کہ  جو شخص اپنی کسی ذاتی غرض کے بغیر دعوت و تبلیغ اور تذکیر و نصیحت کی یہ سب مشقیں جھیل رہا ہے ، جس کی اس تگ و دو میں تم کسی شخصی یا خاندانی مفاد کا شائبہ تک نہیں پا سکتے، وہ ضرو ر اپنے پاس یقین و اذعان  کی کوئی ایسی بنیاد اور ضمیر کے اطمینان کی کوئی ایسی وجہ رکھتا ہے جس کی بنا پر  اس نے اپنا عیش و آرام چھوڑ کر ، اپنی دنیا بنانے کی فکر سے بے پروا ہو کر ، اپنے آپ کو اس جو کھم میں ڈالا ہے کہ صدیوں  کے جمے اور رچے ہوئے عقائد، رسوم اور طرزِ زندگی کے خلاف آواز اُٹھائے  اور اس کی بدولت دنیا بھر کی دشمنی مول لے لے۔ ایسے شخص کی بات کم ازکم اتنی بے وزن تو نہیں ہو سکتی کہ بغیر سوچے سمجھے اسے یونہین ٹال دیا جائے اور اس پر سنجیدہ غور و فکر کی ذرا سی تکلیف بھی ذہن کو نہ دی جائے۔

اے میری قوم کے لوگو ! میں تم سے کسی اجر کا طالب نہیں ہوں۔ نہیں ہے میرا اجر مگر اسی کے ذمہ جس نے مجھے پیدا فرمایا ہے۔ تو کیا تم لوگ عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے

آیت 50 وَاِلٰی عَادٍ اَخَاہُمْ ہُوْدًا قوم عاد حضرت سام کی نسل سے تھی۔ یہ قوم اپنے زمانے میں جزیرہ نمائے عرب کے جنوب میں آباد تھی۔ آج کل یہ علاقہ لق ودق صحرا ہے۔قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗ ۭ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا مُفْتَرُوْنَ یہ جو تم نے مختلف ناموں سے معبود گھڑ رکھے ہیں ان کی کوئی حقیقت نہیں ہے یہ تم محض افترا کر رہے ہو۔
