  1. قَالُوْۤاانہوں نے کہا
  2. اَجِئْتَنَاکیا تو آیا ہمارے پاس
  3. لِتَلْفِتَنَاتاکہ تو پھیر دے ہم کو
  4. عَمَّااس سے جو
  5. وَجَدْنَاپایا ہم نے
  6. عَلَیْهِاس پر
  7. اٰبَآءَنَااپنے آباؤ اجداد کو
  8. وَتَكُوْنَاور ہوجائے
  9. لَكُمَاتم دونوں کے لیے
  10. الْكِبْرِیَآءُبڑائی
  11. فِیمیں
  12. الْاَرْضِ ؕزمین
  13. وَمَااور نہیں ہیں
  14. نَحْنُہم
  15. لَكُمَاتم دونوں کے لیے
  16. بِمُؤْمِنِیْنَایمان لانے والے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اُنہوں نے جواب دیا”کیا تُو اِس لیے آیا ہے کہ ہمیں اُس طریقے سے پھیر دے جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا ہے اور زمین میں بڑائی تُم دونوں کی قائم ہو جائے؟1 تمہاری بات تو ہم ماننے والے نہیں ہیں۔“

  1. ظاہر ہے کہ حضرت موسیٰ و ہارون  کا اصل مطالبہ رہائی  بنی اسرائیل ہوتا تو فرعون اور ا س کےدرباریوں کو یہ اندیشہ کرنے کی کوئی ضرورت نہ تھی کہ ان دونوں بزرگوں کی دعوت پھیلنے سے سرزمینِ مصر کا دین بدل جائے گا اور ملک میں ہمارے  بجائے ان کی بڑائی قائم ہو جائے گی ۔ ان کے اس اندیشے کی وجہ تو یہی تھی کہ حضرت موسیٰؑ اہلِ مصر کو بندگی حق کی طرف دعوت دے رہے تھے اور اس سے  وہ مشرکانہ نظام خطرےمیں تھا جس پر فرعون کی بادشاہی اور اس کے سرداروں کی سرداری اور مذہبی پیشواؤں کی پیشوائی قائم تھی۔ (مزید تشریح کے لیے ملاحظہ ہو الاعراف، حاشیہ نمبر ۶۶۔ ، المومن ، حاشیہ نمبر 43)۔
