انہوں نے کہا کہ کیا تم ہمارے پاس اس لیے آئے ہو کہ ہمیں پھیر دو ان طریقوں سے جن پر پایا ہم نے اپنے آباء و اَجداد کو اور تم دونوں کی بڑائی قائم ہوجائے زمین میں ؟ اور ہم ہرگز تم دونوں کی بات ماننے والے نہیں ہیں۔

Commentary (one passage for ayahs 10:78, 10:79, 10:80)
وَتَکُوْنَ لَکُمَا الْکِبْرِیَآءُ فِی الْاَرْضِط وَمَا نَحْنُ لَکُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِیْنَ یعنی تم دونوں حضرت موسیٰ اور ہارون یہاں اپنی بادشاہی قائم کرنا چاہتے ہو۔ اس اندیشے کی وجہ یہ تھی کہ حضرت موسیٰ اہل مصر کو بندگئ رب کی جو دعوت دے رہے تھے اس سے وہ مشرکانہ نظام خطرے میں تھا جس پر فرعون کی بادشاہی ‘ اس کے سرداروں کی سرداری اور مذہبی پیشواؤں کی پیشوائی قائم تھی۔
