حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى قَوْمًا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ مِنَ الْمِطْهَرَةِ فَقَالَ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَاقِيبِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
شعبہ نےمحمد بن زیاد سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سےروایت کی کہ انہوں نے کچھ لوگوں کو وضو کے برتن سے وضو کرتے دیکھا تو کہا : وضواچھی طرح کرو میں نے حضرت ابو القاسم ( محمد ) ﷺ سےسنا ، آپ فرما رہے تھے : ’’کونچوں کے لیے آگ کاعذاب ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
