حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلاَّمٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ - عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى رَجُلاً لَمْ يَغْسِلْ عَقِبَيْهِ فَقَالَ " وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
ربیع بن مسلم نے محمد بن زیاد سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ نبی ﷺ نےایک آدمی کو دیکھا جس نے اپنی ایڑی نہیں دھوئی تھی تو آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ ( ان ) ایڑیوں کے لیے آگ کاعذاب ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
