Tafheem-ul-Quran
اہلِ کتاب اور مشرکین میں سے جن لوگوں نے کُفر کیا ہے1 وہ یقیناً جہنّم کی آگ میں جائیں گے اور ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں گے ، یہ لوگ بدترینِ خلائق ہیں۔2

یہاں کفر سے مراد محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ماننے سے انکار کرنا ہے۔ مطلب یہ ہے کہ مشرکین اور اہلِ کتاب میں سے جن لوگوں نے اُس رسول کے آجانے کے بعد اُ کو نہیں مانا جس کا وجود خود ایک دلیلِ روشن ہے اور جو بالکل درست تحریروں پر مشتمل پاک صحیفے اُن کو پڑھ کر سنا رہا ہے، اُن کا انجام وہ ہے جو آگے بیان کیا جا رہا ہے۔

یعنی خدا کی مخلوقات میں اُن سے بد تر کوئی مخلوق نہیں ہے حتیٰ کہ جانوروں سے بھی گئے گزرے ہیں ، کیونکہ جانور عقل اور اختیار نہیں رکھے، اور یہ عقل اور اختیار رکھتے ہوئے حق سے منہ موڑتے ہیں۔
