Commentary
آیت 3{ لَـیْلَۃُ الْقَدْرِلا خَیْرٌ مِّنْ اَلْفِ شَہْرٍ۔ } ”لیلۃ القدر ہزار مہینوں سے بہتر ہے۔“ یہ بہتری اور افضلیت کس اعتبار سے ہے ؟ اکثر مفسرین نے کہا ہے کہ اس رات کا عمل ِخیر ہزار مہینوں کے عمل ِخیر سے بہتر ہے جس میں لیلۃ القدر نہ ہو۔ حضرت ابوہریرہ رض سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا : مَنْ قَامَ لَیْلَۃَ الْقَدْرِ اِیْمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَہٗ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِہٖ 1 ’ ’ جو شخص لیلۃ القدر میں ایمان کے ساتھ اور اللہ سے اجر کی امید میں کھڑارہا اس کے تمام پچھلے گناہ معاف کردیے گئے“۔ اس رات کی افضلیت کے ضمن میں ایک رائے یہ ہے کہ اس ایک رات میں اتنی خیر تقسیم کی جاتی ہے جتنی ایک ہزار مہینہ میں بھی تقسیم نہیں کی جاتی۔ اس رات کی افضلیت کا یہ مفہوم بھی ہوسکتا ہے کہ انسان کی اصلاح اور فلاح کے لیے جو کام نزولِ قرآن اس ایک رات میں ہوا ‘ خیر اور بھلائی کا اتنا بڑا کام کبھی انسانی تاریخ کے کسی طویل زمانے میں بھی نہ ہوا تھا۔ واضح رہے کہ اہل عرب بڑی کثیر تعداد کا تصور دلانے کے لیے اَلْف ہزار کا لفظ بولتے تھے۔
