آیت 12{ اَوْ اَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوٰی۔ } ”یا وہ تقویٰ کی تعلیم دیتا !“ جیسا کہ سورة اللیل کی آیت 10 کے ضمن میں بھی ذکر ہوچکا ہے کہ ابوجہل کے کردار میں بہت سی مثبت خصوصیات بھی پائی جاتی تھیں۔ مثلاً وہ مال خرچ کرنے میں ہمیشہ پیش پیش رہتا تھا۔ اس کے علاوہ وہ صاف گو بھی تھا۔ اپنے ایمان نہ لانے کی وجہ بتاتے ہوئے اس نے بالکل کھری اور سچی بات کہی تھی کہ میں محمد ﷺ کو جھوٹا نہیں سمجھتا لیکن ہمارے خاندان نے چونکہ غرباء کو کھانے کھلانے اور حاجیوں کی خدمت کرنے میں ہمیشہ بنوہاشم کا مقابلہ کیا ہے ‘ اس لیے اب میں محمد ﷺ کی نبوت کی شہادت دے کر اپنے حریف خاندان کی بڑائی تسلیم نہیں کرسکتا۔ وہ جری اور بہادر ایسا تھا کہ نزع کے وقت بھی اس نے ہار نہیں مانی اور میدانِ بدر میں اپنا سرقلم کرنے والے شخص کو مخاطب کر کے یہ کہنا ضروری سمجھا کہ اس کی گردن کو ذرا نیچے سے کاٹا جائے تاکہ سر نیزے پر چڑھے تو اونچا نظر آئے۔ بہرحال شخصی اعتبار سے وہ حضرت عمر فاروق رض کی طرح بہادر ‘ نڈر ‘ بےباک اور صاف گو انسان تھا۔ اگر وہ ایمان لے آتا تو یقینا حضرت عمر رض ہی کی طرح اعلیٰ پائے کا مسلمان ہوتا۔ لیکن جب وہ { صَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنٰی۔ } الیل یعنی تصدیق حق ِکی گھاٹی عبور کرنے میں ناکام رہا تو اس کے کردار کی بہت سی مثبت خصوصیات بھی اس کے کسی کام نہ آسکیں۔
