  1. اَجَعَلْتُمْکیا بنا لیا تم نے
  2. سِقَایَةَپانی پلانا
  3. الْحَآجِّحاجیوں کو
  4. وَعِمَارَةَاور آباد کرنا
  5. الْمَسْجِدِمسجد
  6. الْحَرَامِحرام کو
  7. كَمَنْمانند اس شخص کے
  8. اٰمَنَجو ایمان لایا
  9. بِاللّٰهِاللہ پر
  10. وَالْیَوْمِاور یوم
  11. الْاٰخِرِآخرت پر
  12. وَجٰهَدَاور اس نے جہاد کیا
  13. فِیْمیں
  14. سَبِیْلِراستے میں
  15. اللّٰهِ ؕاللہ کے
  16. لَانہیں
  17. یَسْتَوٗنَوہ برابر ہوسکتے
  18. عِنْدَنزدیک
  19. اللّٰهِ ؕاللہ کے
  20. وَاللّٰهُاور اللہ
  21. لَانہیں
  22. یَهْدِیہدایت دیتا
  23. الْقَوْمَقوم
  24. الظّٰلِمِیْنَظالم (قوم کو)

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

کیا تم لوگوں نے حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے اور مسجدِ حرام کی مجاوری کرنے کو اس شخص کے کام کے برابر ٹھہرا لیا ہے جو ایمان لایا اللہ پر اور روزِ آخر پر اور جس نے جانفشانی کی اللہ کی راہ میں؟1 اللہ کے نزدیک تو یہ دونوں برابر نہیں ہیں اور اللہ ظالموں کی رہنمائی نہیں کرتا

  1. یعنی کسی زیارت گاہ  کی سجادہ نشینی ، مجاوری اور چند نمائشی مذہبی اعمال کی بجا آوری  ، جس پر دنیا کے سطح بیں لوگ بالعموم شرف اور تقدس کا مدار رکھتے ہیں ، خدا کے نزدیک کوئی قدر و منزلت  نہیں رکھتی۔ اصلی قدر و قیمت  ایمان اور راہ خدا میں قربانی کی ہے۔ ان صفات کا جو شخص بھی حامل ہو وہ قیمتی آدمی ہے خوا ہ وہ کسی اونچے خاندان سے تعلق نہ رکھتا ہو اور کسی قسم کے امتیازی طرّے اس کو لگے ہوئے نہ ہوں۔ لیکن جو لوگ ان صفات سے خالی ہیں وہ محض اس لیے کہ بزرگ زادے ہیں ۔ سجادہ نشینی ان کے خاندان میں مدتوں سے چلی آرہی ہے اور خاص خاص موقعوں پر کچھ مذہبی مراسم کی نمائش وہ بڑی شان کے ساتھ کر دیا کرتے ہیں، نہ کسی مرتبے کے مستحق ہو سکتے ہیں اور نہ یہ جائز ہو سکتا ہے کہ ایسے بے حقیقت ”موروثی“ حقوق کو تسلیم کر کے مقدس مقامات اور مذہبی ادارے ان نالائق لوگوں کے ہاتھوں میں رہنے دیے جائیں۔

کیا تم نے حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے اور مسجد حرام کو آباد رکھنے کو برابر کردیا ہے اس شخص (کے اعمال) کے جو ایمان لایا اللہ پر اور یوم آخرت پر اور اس نے جہاد کیا اللہ کی راہ میں ؟) یہ برابر نہیں ہوسکتے اللہ کے نزدیک۔ اور اللہ ایسے ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا

آیت 19 اَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَایَۃَ الْحَآجِّ وَعِمَارَۃَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ کَمَنْ اٰمَنَ باللّٰہِ وَالْیَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَجٰہَدَ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰہِ ط مشرکین مکہ اس بات پر بہت نازاں ہیں کہ انہوں نے بیت اللہ کو آباد رکھا ہوا ہے اور وہ حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے جیسا کار خیر سر انجام دیتے ہیں ‘ تو کیا ان کے یہ امور ایمان باللہ ‘ ایمان بالآ خرت اور جہاد فی سبیل اللہ کے برابر ہوجائیں گے ؟
