Surah 9, ayah 118

1. وَّعَلَیاور اوپر
2. الثَّلٰثَةِتین کے
3. الَّذِیْنَوہ لوگ
4. خُلِّفُوْا ؕجن کا معاملہ ملتوی کردیا گیا
5. حَتّٰۤییہاں تک کہ
6. اِذَاجب
7. ضَاقَتْتنگ ہوگئی
8. عَلَیْهِمُان پر
9. الْاَرْضُزمین
10. بِمَاباوجود اس کے
11. رَحُبَتْجو وہ کھلی تھی
12. وَضَاقَتْاور تنگ ہوگئے
13. عَلَیْهِمْان پر
14. اَنْفُسُهُمْان کے نفس
15. وَظَنُّوْۤااور انہوں نے جان لیا۔ یقین کرلیا
16. اَنْکہ
17. لَّانہیں
18. مَلْجَاَکوئی جائے پناہ
19. مِنَسے
20. اللّٰهِاللہ
21. اِلَّاۤمگر
22. اِلَیْهِ ؕاس کی طرف
23. ثُمَّپھر
24. تَابَوہ مہربان ہوا
25. عَلَیْهِمْان پر
26. لِیَتُوْبُوْا ؕتاکہ وہ توبہ کریں
27. اِنَّبیشک
28. اللّٰهَاللہ تعالیٰ
29. هُوَوہی
30. التَّوَّابُتوبہ قبول کرنے والا
31. الرَّحِیْمُمہربان ہے
32. ۟۠

Translation and commentary

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور ان تین پر بھی (اللہ نے رحمت کی نگاہ کی) جن کا معاملہ مؤخر کردیا گیا تھا یہاں تک کہ زمین اپنی تمام تر کشادگی کے باوجود ان پر تنگ پڑگئی اور ان پر اپنی جانیں بھی بوجھ بن گئیں اور انہیں یقین ہوگیا کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی اور جائے پناہ ہے ہی نہیں تو اس نے ان کی توبہ قبول فرمائی تاکہ وہ بھی پھر متوجہ ہوجائیں۔ یقیناً اللہ بہت توبہ قبول کرنے والا بہت زیادہ رحم کرنے والا ہے

Commentary

آیت 118 وَّعَلَی الثَّلٰثَۃِ الَّذِیْنَ خُلِّفُوْا ط یہ تین صحابہ کعب رض بن مالک ‘ ہلال بن امیہ اور مرارہ بن ربیع رض کے لیے اعلان معافی ہے۔ ان تین اصحاب رض کا ذکر آیت 106 میں ہوا تھا اور وہاں ان کے معاملے کو مؤخر کردیا گیا تھا۔ پچاس دن کے معاشرتی مقاطعہ کی سزا کے بعد ان کی معافی کا بھی اعلان کردیا گیا اور انہیں اس حکم کی صورت میں قبولیت توبہ کی سند عطا ہوئی۔حَتّٰیٓ اِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَیْہِمُ الْاَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَیْہِمْ اَنْفُسُہُمْ وَظَنُّوْٓا اَنْ لاَّ مَلْجَاَ مِنَ اللّٰہِ الآَّ اِلَیْہِ ط یہ ایسی کیفیت ہے کہ کوئی بچہ ماں سے پٹتا ہے مگر اس کے بعد اسی سے لپٹتا ہے۔ اللہ کے بندوں پر بھی اگر اللہ کی طرف سے سختی آتی ہے ‘ کوئی سزا ملتی ہے تو نہ صرف وہ اس سختی کو خوش دلی اور صبر سے برداشت کرتے ہیں ‘ بلکہ پناہ کے لیے رجوع بھی اسی کی طرف کرتے ہیں ‘ کیونکہ انہیں یقین ہوتا ہے کہ انہیں پناہ ملے گی تو اسی کے حضور ملے گی ‘ ان کے دکھوں کا مداوا ہوگا تو اسی کی جناب سے ہوگا۔ علامہ اقبال ؔ نے اس حقیقت کو کیسے خوبصورت الفاظ کا جامہ پہنایا ہے : ؂نہ کہیں جہاں میں اماں ملی ‘ جو اماں ملی تو کہاں ملی مرے جرم خانہ خراب کو ‘ ترے عفو بندہ نواز میں تا کہ وہ اللہ سے اپنے تعلق کو مضبوط کرلیں اور اپنی کمزوریوں اور کوتاہیوں کو دور کرلیں۔
